Yahoo instant messenger audibles are dying

    I'm frustrated with my Yahoo audibles. What happens is the animation and sound works fine at first. After 1 or 2 days though, they quit making sound and the animation is dead too. The only way I've found so far to get them working again is by booting my computer. This has been going on for months now and I'm sick of it. By the way I just updated my Adobe Flash Player and the audibles are still silent. I'd like to find an easy way to clear the cache in my Yahoo Instant Messenger too.

    You still haven't mentioned versions of Windows and Yahoo instant messenger you need to troubleshoot.

    I'm using Windows XP and a my instant messenger is the 11.5.0.228-us

    How can clearing caches in a browser do anything to repair a Yahoo Instant Messenger when they're 2 totally different vehicles? I did find one way to clear caches in the Yahoo Instant Messenger, but part of the instructions mentioned pressing a Windows key, which my keyboard is not equipped with.

    OK, I gave this a shot. After I tried it, I could not start my Yahoo Instant Messenger. The only way I could get it started again was to restart my computer :( After that my audibles were making noise and were animated on the instant messenger. But that's par for the course whenever I restart my computer. The real question now is will they still be animated and making noise 1 to 2 days from now? I guess I'll learn the hard way. Thanks for the assistance.
