Hi everybody, my current Win 7 is activated but when i follow the steps to use Chaslang's disable autorun script it seems windows is not able to verify that my windows 7 copy is legit.

I just went through Microsofts activation part by phone and it completed successfully so i don't know what the problem is . Should i just paste Chaslang's script to notepad and then add it to the registry?

    Thank you

Are you saying that you just applied the AutoRunDisable.reg registry patch and it deactivated Windows?

No! Use the below program instead:

    Autorun Eater 2.6

Hi Chaslang, no of course not lol, that script has always worked great for me but i have been adding it to the registry before i have activated Windows in the past.

I have recently re installed and just noticed that you are supposed to activate Windows before adding that script. In the past i just added it before i activated windows and it worked.

Is it necessary to activate windows beforehand or as long as the registry accepts it that's OK.

    Thanks

I tried Autorun Eater but i don't think it works on 64 systems.
