AVG Flase Threats

I have AVG and it keeps detecting things that are not a threat

such as i'm trying to get GLquake working which i install off a legal copy and the stupid thing eventually pops up saying its a threat and has removed it.......:mad

another one i had was playing Rune game through Steam, when i try out the multiplayer same thing happens



is there else anything better then AVG?

 

I would switch and give Avast a try. you can download it here from majorgeeks.

 

AVG is fine it is the program you are running there must be a issue with it.Might want to tell the makers of that program you are using.

AVG is most likely detecting a False/positive.

 

I tried Avast out and its only a 30 day trail........well the one i downloaded was

The AVG program??......the one i have is AVG antivirus free edition 2013.

Kazenji I was talking about the games or what ever you where trying to play.

AVG is probably giving a false positive on the programs you are trying to use.

Like i said in my previous post go to the game makers fourms or and tell them that AVG is giving a false positive.There is nothing wrong AVG i have the pro version and i play tons of games and it is not giving any warnings.

mdonah there is no need to switch anti virus scanners if it is giving a false positive.

also i know with AVG in the advanced settings, There's a thing for exceptions i've tried that for Rune and yet it continues to detect it.

 

Might want to head Rune fourms as well and tell them that the game is being called a False Positive.
