Hi, I'd like to make a rescue disk(s) using my DVD+-RW DU-8A5HH D: drive. My question is what type disks do I need ?

I'm running Windows 8, and it's telling me "Blue Ray DL, XL, and all re-writable media types are not supported."

    So, is the 16X DVD-R what I need ?

7.94 GB is the total being backed up and the 16X DVD-R disks are 4.7GB. Will the process allow using two disks, or do I need to get a dual layer 8X DVD+R that has 8.5GB space ?

tia, I hope I've provided enough info here.

It should span the two discs.
