Yeah, my bank account is not overly thrilled with me, especially since I didn't have any work the entire week before I left. But...whatever. LOL I'm in Tahoe visiting my best friend and her kids. Money comes and goes, but the kids are only young once.

Hey Fred, I know and for one I'm guilty as I have not been on the forum as much as I have in the past, a combination of work as I'm really busy as hell and ok more hell!

But I intend to me on more now, but lounge threads well, they are not inspiring, same old "post your faves" and inane ramblings of some that do not interest me at all.

Pity we cannot debate real world subjects, pity as many cannot debate reasonably, with thoughts for others opinions, I would love a closed forum for hot topics with invited members with a 3 strike rule for behaviour but that is not likely to happen in the short term.

@sikvik sadly not working in London of late otherwise would love to have bought you a beer or 2 :) enjoy your holiday.

I have been missing quite a bit lately, had some hospital time for adjustments to my metalwork and now i am psyching myself up for another major operation on my back on the 19th of this month,it seems i am rusting slowly away.

I would also like a closed forum David, but don't think the powers that be are interested. That is the reason I took a vacation from the forums here.

    Have fun Sikvik!

Good luck with the surgery Bill. Might be cheaper to get your joints lubed up at an auto shop? :-D

Not to get too HBT, but have any of you seen the video of the prosecution's 'star' witness in the Zimmerman trial? We have a DTG (direct to garmet) printer at work now, am thinking about a t-shirt with one of the witness's statements on it.

Give a smart azz a couple of 72" printers and a 90" printer, and things could go wrong, in so many ways. :-D

Yeah its bean floated a few times in admin and I was one for this type of forum area, but I do see the negative side of having such a forum area, if you allow specific members, to then how on earth do you moderate as if you have to and we would have too, then would those banned from the closed area spread the topic to the lounge areas etc.

I prefer the status quo of how we are now, admittedly the lounge is slower these days, I do think the spark of new topics has disappeared as the threads of "whats your top...." "post your desktop" etc threads are old and tired, need some new sorts of topics to discuss, sadly without going religious, political, gun tottin rooting tooting! :-D

@Bill wish you all the best with the surgery my friend.

@Fred.. not been following that trial at all, unlike me not too, more been laughing myassoff at the hoohaa Me Snowden has caused and the Sky TV article that the presenter said "lets go to our reporter outside the Ecuadorian Embassy" only to see the said reporter standing in front of the Republic of Columbia's embassy's flag and shield!

EDIT: LMAO at your edit text Fred hahahhahaha brill!

I have not kept up with the Snowden stuff too much myself. As far as the Zimmerman witness, just search the YouTube for Rachel Jeantel. Very informative about creepy arse saltine crackers. :-D Will leave it at that.

Not worth starting a new thread over this, but I went shooting Sunday, asked about 9mm ammo, and the clouds parted, and the sun shone down on almost a pallet of 9mm ammo, $15.99 per box of 50... :-D:-D

I have been paying $20 per 50, and that was only sold for classes. Hopefully the ammo drought is over.

If you are not a shooter, ammo has been seriously scarce since the New Town shootings and subsequent legislative attempts. Not trying to make this HBT, just some background. At Academy locally, you can only buy one box per caliber, 3 box limit. And they rarely have anything in stock. You almost have a better chance of finding a unicorn horn than finding .22lr ammo. For months, there was no 9mm, unless you wanted to pay 5 times the normal cost for it.

I will be stocking up slowly over the next few months, as my cash flow allows. Sucks not being able to shoot your carry gun. I like to shoot at least once a month to keep in practice. Dry presses are good, but sometimes you need the recoil for full effect.

I need to get a reloading setup...

And, the NSA phase of the week is "Mt. Rushmore". ;)

Tomorrow morning we have to leave at 9am in order to get me to the airport in Reno for a noon flight. I'm a weepy mess. It's not that I don't get here for a visit every year...it's that my best friend's kids are always a year older every time I see them. Staying longer than normal is both fabulous and awful; I don't want to leave my babies! :cry

Ive had a similar experience with my toys as well.
I run experiments using 2,4, dinitrophenol..(mitochondrial uncoupler) and I recently was notified I had my shipment held by customs.
There is no reason for this at all, I've never had any issues with previous orders over the last 7 years
unlike bullets, my drugs can't hurt other people, I have no idea why the invasion of my right to pursuit of happiness.

It doesnt mean much now, since its hot out, but in winter I dont use my central heat in the winter, that's why I use DNP.

  26. BILLMCC66

It maybe held by customs for the fact it is illegal for internal consumption in most states of the US and many countries on this side of the pond have banned it because of the danger of unintentional suicide by not knowing how much to take.

that hypothesis does fit with the American theme of "moar is better", horrible way to die,,,guess I'll have to forget using DNP and stick to the weight loss from my always attainable crack/meth:wave

For those who don t know, DNP is a chemical compound that uncouples energy production in the mitochondria, causing energy to be wasted as heat. While this burns off fat at a tremendous rate, it is also extremely dangerous as a DNP overdose can kill you outright. Take too much and you overheat and cook from the inside out.

  28. Adrynalyne

    Adrynalyne Guest

The last two cases caused by it on Wikipedia were not Americans, so no, it has nothing to do with the alleged American theme of "moar is better". It has to do with the fact that it is toxic, regardless of how you beneficial it may seem. There is a reason why they stopped using it as a dietary aid 70-80 years ago.

I've actually been super, super busy. Holidays, birthdays, weddings, trips. In the past 2 months I've been in 5 different states with more trips/states coming up.

Not that I mind, I actually love being busy but it hasn't given me much time to devote to internet things.

    ;)
    Hypothesis
-people die from DNP because they take too much"

    Expiriment:
    Let people use DNP

    Results:
results show deaths from DNP are from overdose of DNP which causes Hyperthermia.
This is why I state the fact americans feel "MOAR IS BETTER" thinking when it comes to people taking DNP(americans or not)

I'm not retarded when it comes to medical issues the way I am about komputers:-D
I'm speaking as someone who still goes to libraries to pull actual research, I found searching WIKIPEDIA leads to errors in understanding.

It's as simple as that. I only know this because I have scans of the actual reports and I've researched this longer than 1 hour in hopes to find some "facts" to throw out via BRO-LOGIC on the interweb.
The following is a except from something that might get into the BBING world, if it ever gets completed, which after 7yrs is pretty unlikely.:zzz

DNP was one of the first weight loss drugs used back in the 1930's. It was used for several years and by hundreds of thousands of people. Its bad reputation today owes to the FDA and uninformed sensationalists, but also its real potential for dangerous effects when used at unreasonable doses.

DNP can be dangerous, especially if used irresponsibly. However, its danger is definitely overstated. When used at reasonable dosages and with proper oversight, DNP offers unparalleled fat loss with little health risk

This is the ATSDR's toxicological report. It's the most extensive list of adverse effects ever linked to DNP use. They basically summarize every case report they could find, grouped into logical categories. It's one of the most extensive documents to date on DNP-related adverse case reports. Note, DNP, phenol, is AMES NEGATIVE.

What you have to keep in mind though is that there are idiosyncratic case reports with any drug. With normal, healthy individuals, you just don't see these kinds of things. Accordingly, the bizarre cases were extremely rare. If you look at the incidence rates, you'll see that there are only a handful of these odd cases (often with only one or two reports of the same kind). There's not a compelling reason to think that these are potential side effects of DNP in people who have a normal physiology.

Also, remember that the case reports are only associated with DNP use. The ATSDR report often points out that there was no clear causal tie to the DNP. People die and if they happened to die in some unusual way while taking DNP, it can become a case report. It makes sense that you'd have more of these case reports in the group of people taking DNP for longer periods of time.

However, it doesn't mean the DNP is responsible and it isn't something that can be extrapolated to the normal, healthy population. Over 100,000 people took DNP and about the only consistent adverse reports were rash (at a rate of 10-20%), cataracts (at a rate of 0.1%), and a few very rare things, like neuritis. Everything else appears to be random, suspect reports.

There are risks to using DNP. There are risks to using any drug there are risks to being overweight(FAT) as well
DNP is a tool, like coffee/alcohol/nicotine/pharmaceuticals(like statins) and even a car.
If you don't know how to use it, havent read how to use it, do the world a favor and please give your opinion on it and how you feel about it based on nothing, something, or even a wikipedia entry.:-D

Please note this is not an attack on anyone just facts to remedy the lack of knowledge known as ignorance.

OK, I admit, I am ignorant on drugs and advanced chemistry.

    But, this statement bothers me.

I drink wine, beer, and sometimes spirits, but, are you saying you use a drug to regulate your body temperature in the winter?

Scary stuff. If you are down with it, and know what you are doing, rock on. I will just adjust the thermostat.

not scary if you understand how it works. you drink, you know how that effects you, you might know why it affects you how it does, but you know what it does and you know your tolerance.

here is a short course, I mention it cause I think it's interesting.

Calories from your body, calories that used to be a hamburger, etc) are used to keep you alive. (you should know this, this is why you need to eat)

some of those calories go to making ATP via the Electron Transport Chain
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electron_transport_chain

DNP uncouples(ie BREAKS) that chain, so it cannot make ATP, (ATP is what the body uses for energy) when this happens, the body just makes heat, no ATP is made

so instead of 100 calories making 50 ATPS, 100 calories make 40 ATPS(not real numbers, Im trying to show a concept)

your body never runs out of ATP, but it does spend more calories to get the ATP

This is both why your metabolism goes up 11% per 75mg DNP and why you get hot.

I wanted to joined a gym, I went to the gym and took a tour.,
Lots of cardio machines, lots of weight machines, a pool and a trainer.
I noticed the people, some skinny, some fat, some lean, some big and lean, some skinny and fat.
The gym didnt advertise a rate to join, so I asked how much it was to join the gym?

I was told, you can do whatever you want to do in our gym. All of it is your choice, but we charge you a membership rate by how complicated system of your weight/bodyfat percentage. The healthier you are, the more you have to pay to be a member here

    Confused, I said
I dont understand, so I work hard at the gym and in my life and I stop being fat and I build muscle and by doing well, I have to pay more?
and if I just ate lots of calories and didnt workout at the gym, got fatter, I'd pay less? why not just have a flat rate, everyone pays $100/year? so the rate is not based on my free choices I make in my life? This way what I freely choose to do with my time/energy isnt affecting anyone else?

In the end, that's not what happened at my gym
I joined it 11yrs ago for $500 for 5 yrs, after 5 years, I have to pay $20/year which comes to $23.95 after taxes for an all club pass(24 hour fitness)

I understand taxes to be the government to charge people for everything they can, over spend on things that arent useful and then try to get more money out of people with higher/more taxes.
Which is why I spent the last 3 weeks working to fight against some increases in my property taxes in this poor economy. I fought/won 2 yrs ago when they raised my property taxes with no basis then also.

meanwhile, I have to fasten my seat-belt or face more "taxes" because John Law thinks I should buckle my belt, even though my car is loaded down with Donuts and cigarettes.(so apparently, its ok to hurt my health,as long as I pay for it,?) so then why can the government tell me what to do, buckle my belt?
are they also going to stop me from watching the Kardashians or "16 and Stupid"? Those arent healthy things to do.
