    Ok, so here's the deal

There was a virus i had on my pc, who first began with spamming pop-ups who were containing a picture. The pic wasnt avaible to see for me, so i ignored it, and thought it was just a prank thing. So i let this svchost.exe
(its called like that, but it is a pic)
run everytime i start the pc. And today, ALL my files were gone!

Games, School, my own websites servers and graphics, and.. Everything!

I tried to boot up with safe mode since i googled the problem and a guy had this as solution.

But guess what, upon safe mode, the PC died, and now it keeps dying everytime i start the pc and it comes to the windows loading screen!

after a while I managed to get into the PC without crash, but it crashes upon safe mode
but in normal it works.. But the file problem still persists!!

I was downloading AVAST and Malwarebytes for a full run over the night

    9 malwares removed succesfully

I used "Recuva" to bring back my websites, but then i had the idea to run a system restore, and now the files are gone and recuva as well. So i installed recuva again and was going to bring back the websites yet again, but now recuva aint finding the files....

I ran an avast & malwarebytes run again, no threats detected..

    please, anyone!?

I've already tried the unhide.exe files from here

PS. iam sorry for my english, not my motherlanguage as you might have noticed.

Thank you so much in advance!!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

So how are you downloading and going to run this if you PC does not boot up. Or did you mean that you can always boot up in normal mode but your files are missing?

Not sure we will be able to help you recover any missing personal files. If they really were deleted, the system restore may have made it impossible to get them back.

What version of Windows are you running?

I ment that once i booted the pc, it crashed upon windows loading screen.
but if i wait like 10 min, it works again.

Yeah, i read about that in another thread here... :(

    Iam running Windows XP SP3

    Edit:

Sorry for late response, hasn't been abled to use a computer for the past week.

Okay, so I'm still at a loss for what you wish to do here. Deleted files is not really a topic for the malware forum and as stated, the act of doing a system restore may have made it even more unlikely to restore them. And to top it off, you are saying you cannot boot sometimes. If you can get it to boot, you could try running the below to see if it finds any of your files but this is outside the realm of malware removal.

    Recuva Portable 1.47.948

If you have the ability to do this or have a friend who is experienced with PCs, you could try putting your hard drive into another working PC as a slave drive and then see if you can either see your files or if you can then recover them with Recuva. It this does not work your have two options:
    1. Take the drive to a data recovery expert company ( very expensive so the data better really be important )
    2. Give up on the data recovery and reinstall your operating system and start over.

    i tried that, didnt work.

About the second option, why is a reinstall OS required?
i mean, i can just forget all my job and projects and beginning on new, but why is a reinstall needed?

    Thanks.

Because you are having problems booting up reliably which means there is a good chance that your Windows installation is broken or unreliable/trustworthy at best.

Can you run the below in normal boot mode?

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

If not then again there is not much we can do for you unless you want to try running a boot CD to do some scanning ( like below ) but this will not fix problems within the Windows operating syste,m.

    AVG Rescue CD
    BitDefender Rescue USB
    F-Secure Rescue CD
    Kaspersky Rescue Disk
