Annoyances

Yes this. It's even worse when you are supposed to be somewhere at a designated time and they are still late. >.<


Also people that don't have any common courtesy. The other day a friend and I were visiting some memorials and we wanted to take some pictures. We were waiting in "line" but this girl jumped in front of us to get her picture taken first. Ok, fine, we'll wait.. but then when she moved she only about two inches. So I said "excuse me", to where she turned around and looked at me like I had 3 unicorn horns. So I motioned for her to move and she gave me a dirty look but she moved (and my friend started cracking up :-D) but seriously, in most instances, excuse me means move yourself, you are in my way! How do you not get that?

 

Mine involves various ways people turn a checkout line into a train wreck...

* The person ahead of you has spent a few minutes in line and getting their items scanned. Only after the cashier gives them the total do they spend a few minutes fumbling around in their purse/pockets to find their cash/debit card. If they're paying by check, they should already have it filled out except for the dollar amount.

* Same as above, except the a--hole is too busy chatting on their cell phone to pay the cashier right away.

* People who try to scam the food stamp/WIC system. A few weeks ago, I was stuck behind a d-----bag who claimed she couldn't figure out why she couldn't use her benefits card to purchase household cleaning products and got into an argument with the cashier. I've seen this happen more than once; it can stop a checkout line for 20 minutes. This is not a political statement on government benefits in general - just a rant against people who attempt to violate the law.

.Biggest annoyance for me
Is when people are driving be hind you and riding your a** while you are doing the speed limit may be 5 over.

.Second biggest annoyance
Is when people are driving be hind you and riding your a** while there high beam's are on and they just don't care if they are blinding you.

These are the kinda people that need to have there Driver License revoked.

 

When people eat while talking on the phone, either to me or to someone else and I'm in the same room.

 

An annoyance:

You are testing something for the past hour, and code gets checked in for what you are testing. So you start over. An hour later, more code gets checked in.

I swear this happened to me four times in the last two days. Much respect for our developers though.

 

People who make assumptions based on nothing but their own preconceived notions.

 

My brothers phone, my friends phones, phones are pretty cool though when not being used, people who game next to me, Candy crush.

Facebook, facebook likes, farmville, facebook friends list, Mark Zuckaberg= He stole the idea anyway and treated his friends and partners like rubbish, old people who have owned a pc for a year and are now obsessed with Facebook they annoy me more than younger people :confused

 

I hate the ME ME ME society we now live in (maybe it's because i am now just an old fart)
I was brought up to be courteous to others but now it appears to be all about self fulfillment,on the roads they will cut you up just to be in front at the next stop light,in the supermarkets they bump you out of the way with their trolly's.
My list is quite long but i will not bore you with it.:-D

 

Arrogance!

When you're trying to help someone with a problem and someone else tells you you're wrong and "their way" is the only correct way to accomplish said task. I and others here have had this happen to us.

What really gets me is an employee making me wait because they are on an obvious personal phone call... I have been known to just leave the stuff on the counter and walk out.

People who don't know how to stand in a line really jerks my chain.

And that witch that thinks it is OK to leave while she is being checked out to go get more items. :mad I have found it amusing to remove things from said person's cart while they are gone. :-D

Maybe I have anger management issues? Or just like some common courtesy.

Oh, where to begin?
I find it irritating that when I make payments at our bank everyone in front of me needs to reconcile their mortgage, finalize complex business transactions, and chat endlessly with the teller about trivia. My sympathetic bank manager is a cheerful, pathological liar who assures me with a steady gaze that they are indeed going to hire more bank tellers. Liar!

 

If i was a security guard at this place i would have had this persons car towed to the impound lol:-D

And would have added you have been punked your car is now at the impound for double parking.

 

If I had some handy, I would have sprinkled bird seed all over the car.

The birds would be happy enough to leave little "thank you" presents requiring an immediate trip to the car wash.

 

What would you do if you saw this below.

 

Probably call the cops.

Not me, cause dat be illegal. Now, I think they deserve it, but I am not going down for parking lot drama. Playing pranks on cars could also open you up to massive liability if anyone got hurt or worse.

Long time ago a couple of gal-pals were giving me a lift and had to stop for gas. The station was packed, and my friends were waiting behind a car that was already at the pump. The driver came back from paying, saw people waiting on him to leave, and proceeded to slowly check the pressure in his tires . . . bear in mind that the air station wasn't even at the pumps, it was around at the side of the building, vacant and in plain view from the pump. :mad He was obviously taking his time and being a jerk, and based on his body language he thought it was pretty funny. My driver must have given him her "look" because he suddenly threw his arms out and started stomping over to her car . . . pretty sure he didn't see me in the back seat because when I got out he stopped dead in his tracks and turned around :-D. I yelled at him to move his !@#$ car and he complied. Didn't even stop to air up his tires . . .

Depends . . . did the vehicle have a Handicap plate or placard? Perhaps they needed to get a wheelchair out of the drivers side of the vehicle, so it was parked that way to avoid having the access to that side blocked? Who knows? I'd call the Police I guess, if there was no plate or placard. I'd not do hundreds of dollars damage to some stranger's car, even if they were being a jerk.

Are you talking about:
1 people walking in front of you while you are in a car and you are waiting for them to walk by you?
2 a car slowing down when you have to yield to it before you turn into its lane

In either case, particularly the people walking, I agree with you. when I cross the street, I always move as fast as I can to not be close to cars in motion because I never think a car will see me. Because of thinking that way, that a car doesnt see me, I watch out for cars.
yet, when I drive, I also do my best to not hit people, yet people seem to think that a car will not hit them.
I was pulling into a spot at walmart once, I had just started pulling into a spot and an old women cut across the spot, I slammed on my breaks, otherwise I would have hit her...I got out of my car and asked, "ARE YOU OK?" She looked at me, looked at my car and told me, "IM A PEDRESTRIAN< I HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY!"

I guess she didnt think about 2 facts
1 a car hitting her(SUV) would have little/no impact to my life, yet would kill/maim her life
2 the parking lot at walmart is all under subservience, so if I had been brought up on charges/sued, I had proof showing exactly what happened. Thankfully, decades of video games gave me reflexes of a Star-Nosed Mole (really ****in fast) so I was able to stop before hitting her or her husband.

I have to wonder though, dont we raise people to just waiste other peoples time?
we give kid "school zones" which make cars go extra slow around schools because kids just run into the streets randomly and this is supposed to give a driver extra time to not hit them? so do we expect people to give cars the respect they should have when a person gets older? people are raised to think cars will stop for them,

recently I was stuck behind a school bus because it had its STOP SIGN OUT while it waited for a kid to walk, WALK, past 4 houses to get to the bus to get on to go to school.
when I was a kid taking the bus to school, I had to be at my bustop at 730am or my bus would have missed me, If I wasnt there, it was not going to stop and waste gas for me to walk to it?

People in the USA have no repercussions for their actions. We don't let people die is the bottom line, everyone gets a 2nd chance...my favorite example of that is people who go to jail for 1-9life sentences? why is that? why are we paying for them to be alive in jail?

the best is when the cashier and the person checking out start talking about crap and they arent checking out, they are just standing there talking or moving so slowly you can read an entire magazine while you wait, when this happens,I stand very close to the person in front of me and proceed to do the same thing I do when someone is on a cell phone next to me, START TALKING TO THEM

I was there sometime ago, I thought I posted this, but I was sitting in a chair which was 2ft from another chair where a man sat who was also reading.
he got a call and proceed to yell into his phone.
I did what I described about, when he would talk into his phone, I would answer him, as if he was talking to me,
On the 3rd answer I gave, he put his phone to his chest and said to me,"sir, I am on the phone!"

"then go away!"

he ignored me and kept talking, so I kept answering the questions he asked the person on the phone,.:-D

again he looked at me said into the phone, "sorry, I am being bothered by this kid"
so I said"---"I'm reading here, LEAVE!"

he says into his phone, "hang on:...and he got up and left....:wave

the lady who was sitting across from our chairs and who had left when he started talking on the phone, came back and approached me, "sorry to bother you, I just wanted to say how proud of you I am! I wanted to do that!"

people treat you the way they are trained too, you have to train them correctly

They're the founding fathers ideal, immigrants who wan to work and have a good life so much they will risk everything and fight to get it and if they're ever lucky enough to get a piece of the American dream they'll fight and die to protect the country.

This country was founded on "illegal" immigrants (you don't really think Native Americans gave the colonists permission did you?), and now we have someone thinking we should shoot people trying to make a better life for themselves.

On a related note, public restrooms (especially in eating establishments) where the hand soap dispenser is empty. What makes this even worse is when the soap is out and you see an employee only rinse their hands before returning to work.

I hate the idots that don't seem to know how to merge into the flow of traffic on the interstate. You know, the idot doing 40 MPH just expecting people doing 70 MPH to slam on their brakes so the idot can wander into traffic.

OH, and those really special idots that think the left lane is their own personal lane, to drive whatever speed they want, usually much slower than everyone else.

After pumping gas and paying at the pump, having to go inside the store when I had no plans to in order to get a receipt, because no one working in a convenience store ever refills the paper dispenser in the pump.

 

I think they do that on purpose, to get you inside the store, hoping you will buy a Coke and a bag of chips while you are inside. Sorry sons of ..... (family site).. :-D

At US pumps can pay and get a receipt? If you go into a station in the UK they give you a handle to crank the pump.rolleyes

How about a pump nozzle that doesn't drip fuel everywhere when you pull it out? The big budget Milk carton industry have a leg up on that one.

 

Just swipe your credit card and start pumping.

There are even some places (like Sam's Club) where, if the machine is out of paper, you can't get a receipt. It's totally automated, no attendants or employees around.
