When I downloaded ascu6.1 it was freeware.
Know I have IObits telling me they need a registation key.
Is it free or a 30 day trial only?

The last time I put my credit card no. on the net
I went hundreds of dollars in the hole for a product
that only cost $45.00. (a.k.a. paypal)

 

As long as you downloaded Advanced System Care Free, it's freeware. IObit should have emailed you a key which you should copy and paste into the entry field to avoid making errors.

If you downloaded/installed any other version, you WOULD have to pay for the registration key.

 

They didn,t email me a product key. When I ask for a key
they just want my credit card.

I,m going to remove it and download something else.

Is there a antivirus that does a localized search.
I scanned and found 2 Gen;\Variant Adw...
in F;\document and setting\All users\...
didn,t tell me exactly file but I know were to start.

Did you download Advanced SystemCare from a reputable site like MajoGeeks ?

Advanced SystemCare Free version is totally free.
The Free and Pro (paid) versions are the same download but there are a few features that are only available for use after you have bought the Pro version, these will have Pro written beside them and if you click on those Pro features you will be asked to enter your license code.
You can continue to use all the free features without entering a license code

Just in case you have put the wrong product
Advanced SystemCare Ultimate is a 30 day trial but it also includes the BitDefender anti-virus

I did download from this site.

After ranting and raving with Iobits on the phone
they sent me a registration key. It works great now.

For future reference, rather than using phone support I suggest you go to the IObit Forum and ask for help. There is an IObit liaison called Cicely who is very helpful and can fix any registration problems you might have

Yes contact Cicely she i very nice and can help.I all so run on there forums i help with the ASC program.
