3 simple questions

    1) Do I need Java with Win8?
    2) Do I need Java with Chrome?
    I do the very basics online, if that helps with your answer.
    3) Does Firefox have version that works with win8?

    Thanks, if you guys don't know, then no one does..........:)

    Yes you need java.If you watch like youtube and stuff.

    Firefox works with windows 8.

    YouTube requires Flash Player, not Java. I have no Java whatsoever on this computer and YouTube plays fine. If I disable Flash, YouTube does not function.

    There is a Java plug-in the Chrome FAQ says is recommended as not all sites will function properly without it.

    As unstable and insecure as Java is, I wouldn't touch it.
