Compaq Presario CQ57

I have the above lap top! When typing a sentence on my key board, the letters become jumbled up. Help needed please!

Hi Matetsi, you haven't answered falconattack's question of trying an external USB keyboard yet.

 

If you are getting jumbled letters when typing, could be bad hardware (ie Keyboard, chipset), or could be the driver/software for the keyboard. If I had to take a fair guess, the keyboard is going to be most likely the culprit.

Post a video of you typing in something on the screen, in say Wordpad or Notepad, showing your hands typing, and the output on the screen. Also do the same showing using a USB keyboard on the unit.

Also try the Passmark Keyboard test software, and post its results. http://www.passmark.com/products/keytest.htm

Sorry guys! But after a serios brain infection. (Limbic Encephalitis) a couple of years ago. my brain goes into sleep mode, and find it hard to concentrate!

No biggie. If we make you a little upset, just yell stop and ask to back up a bit. Is there a local mom & pop computer shop that can do a look and assess to check to see what is going on.

As I have stated, brain is retard mode! But! What is a USB key board. Can I use my desk top KB?
