Cannoy open or uninstall a program in Win 8

I just installed Win 8, Chameleon Clock, a reminder program that pops up when an appointment is due, will not open, when I try to uninstall it, I get the

message that the program is open and must be closed to uninstall, cannot find it to close it, another WIn 8 nightmare, used this program for years without a

problem, any help appreciated.It was always hidden in the start menu, when putting the cursor on the start area it would pop up, now nothing

 

Not all older software is Win 8 compatible, including Chameleon Clock

 

Use the Task Manager's Processes tab to end the program, so that you can uninstall it.

I had it working on Win8 before, and they claim it is compatible with Win8

 

Who is "they"? http://www.softshape.com/software/desktop/chamclock/features/ implies it was designed for Windows Vista and Earthling's screen capture from another source says it does not work with Windows 8. So, where are you getting your info?
