Suggestion for program to 'rename multiple files' ?

Would like to rename multiple files, re rename same file in multiple folders, etc.
Suggestions ?

What kinda multiple files are you trying to rename,are they going to be all the same name be cause that can not work to well.

Oh and what version of windows are you planing on using these files i see you might use a dual boot.

There are several freeware utilities designed for renaming files: Rename Master, for example. You might have to try a couple to find one that suits your needs.

OS etc should be in signature.
Have various program files that may want to rename, and they are in different folders.
Would like to, if possible, rename all at same time (maybe by a program that would search out all the files and rename, understand I could do a 'file search' and rename from that) instead of needing to go to each folder and renaming each... just an example.

I have used Bulk Rename Utility

When you first run the program, it looks very intimidating.
DO look at the Help file and tutorial and it will make sense.
