anyone actually pick up a girl who works at a store/restaurant without being a wierd

I diet and workout hard all week. I have one meal out on the weekend, usually post a workout to help caloric partitioning.

I went to Fazolis, got some of their breadsticks and pasta(no sauce, as I use my 100% strain tomato sauce at home)
The cashier was a guy and it was late(30mins to closing) and he was busy hitting on the girl in fishnet stocking who came in after me to help me.

As I waited for my grub,..I spied a girl in the back, mid 20s, in shape, cleaning the drive thru register, in the back.
She wasnt really busy, since it was nearly closing time.
She saw me, came up from the back of the store, asked if I'd been helped. I had been texting, I said yes, and I pointed to my food which just appeared at window/red-light district and told her that was my order.
She grabbed the order, tossed in a bag, grabbed me a bunch of breadsticks and handed it to be with a cheerful smile: I admit I was just a wee bit stunned to say much more than thanks.
She looked just like my ex, only taller, like she worked out(she muscle tone) and had an awesome look to her..

I am not going nutty over a pretty girl, I had similar experience last week when at the same place, it was a brunette in glasses, who I actually said more than a few words to getting a toothy smile(so its real) and happy reply.

Occurrences like this are par for the course at the nature store I go to weekly, where I can present a card with my 1st name to get a 5% discount, a girl I never have talked to, said hi to me(and used my 1st name).
Very odd indeed.

What's more odd is, I go to these places post-gym and I have a full beard currently, thick full light brown/blonde hair.
Sure, I have bright blue eyes and a dazzling white smile, but I am dressed in gym clothes, so I don't get it other than the fact I carry myself well and going to the gym/dieting is paying off

Here is where I need some guidance: Next week, I plan to go back get my free meal and see if the redhead is there, because I go there near closing time, I thought I'd ask her when she gets off..... but I don't know if that would make me look like a weirdo or creep her out?

oh, its from an old TV commercial for fast food burgers
The burgers get made then sit under the red-warming lights, waiting for you to buy the "fast food"

I was just saying, "my food(pasta) was ready"

I don't know why, but reading that made me think of Extenze Bob (Google it)

I think she was just doing her job and being pleasant about it. If nothing less, I'd see if she shows any memory of you from this trip and possibly strike up a conversation and see if it goes beyond customer service-type chat. If it does, end it with see you next week, not what time do you get off. That's too much too soon and comes across as a little too forward (and creepy).

Also, might want to take a shower when done at the gym before you stop by. You get too close she'll think you sleep on a bus bench. :-D

Why not just go back, and if you see her, smile, and introduce yourself. Her response, or lack of response should be obvious.

always a plus, I did think about some line to say in conjunction with being served food.
Which strange I didn't say because I've gone to this place for years and I know the older(mid 30s-mid 40s) cute manager(laura) with whom I flirt with, who is always giving me free drinks.
One of our running themes is the fact she serves me food.
I've determined, I was really thrown for a loop in dealing with this girl because she looked like my ex, only younger and much healthier.

You might have a point, but I wanted to see if she came to work in her uniform, but since the place doesnt open for 8 hours, I might as well go home....I'm freezing.

she was in the back working hard, and no one could see her,(the manager was in view of me) so I thought this was a good sign that she was a new employee or just a hard worker: both good signs.

I agree with your assessment of what to do next.

Relax, relax, relax! No clever lines. Quit thinking so much. Just smile and be friendly. Not weird. Just a great guy. Let it flow.

Qualifications: Divorced-4 awesome children-4 unbelievable grandkids- and an ex wife who is still my best friend.

P.S.- Divorce sucks! My fault though. Live and learn. I don't drink or drug anymore.

Give her a big tip and say "I know a way you can earn a lot more"

Tell her, her hair is nice and start sniffing it.

Whatever you do though don't get into a conversation about anything of importance, such as how you want immigrants shot.

Heck, I picked up a girl in jail . . . and it wasn't weird at all :-D

She was a county corrections officer, and I was a city police officer . . . technically, I picked her up. We became friends for years and I finally convinced her to marry me
