Is it possible to trace an Ebay user's IP address?

I was wondering if it is at all possible to trace an Ebay members IP address. Reason being is that I had one nasty person who I bought from and never received goods. After leaving this person a 'neutral' feedback, they have been harrassing me. They have now purchased from me using a second account, for the sole purpose of leaving negative feedback. This one I am 100% sure about due to the messages received from her.

However, now I have another Ebay account purchasing and leaving negative feedback and it sounds very much like it is her again. I would like to be able to find a way to prove that it is her harrassing me again using a third account.

I have a feeling it's not possible, but thought I'd ask anyway.

I don't think that is possible but why don't you contact Ebay regarding this user(s)?

 

Yeah I have contacted them, I was just hoping there may be a way for me to actually prove that this is the same person using multiple accounts. There is no doubt in my mind that it is, but I don't really have the proof.

 

Ebay would probably be able to find out if it was the same person (or at least the same IP) because they most likely have the equipment to track IPs.

I would just make sure to tell them everything you think is happening and they can look into it for you.

 

I am a Powerseller and Top Rated seller on EBay as well as a buyer. If I were you I would tell the seller to request a feedback revision. Give them a positive and move on. It isn't worth the time or stress to worry about this.

Ebay knows everyones IP address because of cookies and the token. You can get suspended if a suspended person uses your computer and goes on their account. Ebay ties them together and you get kicked off to.

You can do an advanced search for find a member and see if they live in same town. If you are involved in a transaction with them you can request their contact information..

 

You should also contact paypal and make a complaint regarding the goods you haven't received, include all the info you've posted here and you suspect their account is being used fraudulently and/or for malicious purposes.

If they've used the same account which is highly likely Paypal have access to their bank account and can suspend it.

No you can't trace their IP and you couldn't do anything with it even if you could.
