Hi, I recently installed a Radeon R9 270 GPU into my computer and have been receiving wonderful performance... until I dont.

In games, video will freeze after a few minutes, minimize and then a notification states that a display driver stopped working and has successfully recovered. I have re-installed all drivers through the AMD catalyst suite to no avail. I need the help of the Major Geek universe!!!

    Windows 7 64-bit
    16gb ram
    i5 processor
    radeon R9 270

    please get back to me.

Quite simply, the Graphics card is failing and needs to be replaced. I had similar issues with an nVidia card that produced the same type of error as yours in Vista and blue screened the computer in XP.

No mention of what the PSU make/model# and the age of it; a weak PSU will cause all sorts of problems, including (eventually) dying and/or killing other hardware/your data.

I actually thought my PSU was the problem because it was only 350W so I replaced it with a brand new Thermaltake 600W PSU to recieve the same results
