Can Hiren's miniXP repair win98?

A buddy's windows 98 system needs to be cleaned up.

Can I use the Hiren's bootable disc with mini XP (and associated programs) to edit, scan, cleanup the windows 98 system (I have used it on my XPs)?

Or do I need a specific bootable win98 disc?

 

Unfortunately, while you can run programs in compatibility mode for '98 in XP, you can't use XP to repair '98. Hiren's is considered warez by MajorGeeks so, there won't be any comments on it.

 

You will need a bootable win 98 disc to do a repair.
