bootmngr is missing when trying to instal w7

Hello there, hope this is the right place for this post.
I put a new motherboard (Gigabyte H87 D3H) and a new cpu (i5 4570) into my machine. I also put in a new dvd drive. I kept the 2 hdds that were in the machine, thinking I would re-format everything when I put the new o/s on.the old o/s was vista. When I put the win7 setup disc in I get the Bootmgr is missing message. I checked the boot menu and it is set to boot from the disc, all the drives show up in the bios. I know the installation dvd is O.K.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem.

Given your story it could be a lot of different things, like a loose cable on newly installed component, attempting to boot from a nonbootable (second) HDD, improper hookup to PSU, etc. If you rule out all of the hardware related causes and still cannot boot, you will need to attempt a Repair Install (dirty install) of the OS. The site will walk you through this process.

I should have mentioned that I did google it and went through all of those things several times to no avail. What I was able to do was I tried to install my old vista and got the same message a but a second or so after getting the "press any key to boot from DVD/CD" I re-started and pressed a key before the second message popped up and it worked!
I will fully install vista and then use the 7 disc to upgrade. Wish me luck.
