Sometime ago I removed all Iobit software from my PC.
All programs, folders, icons, folders in HKEY.
I did this because the NORTON guys advised me to do it after I had other problems with my PC.
But now the Iobit defragler is still starting up (sometimes) just before windows starts up. Take a look at the picture inclosed.
I am sorry but I don't remember the Iobit version.
    Computer: Windows 7 professional 32 bits SP1, Intel Pentium 4, 3.00GHz, 2Gb
    RAM, 915G/915V/910GL embedded chipset.
How do I get rid of this program?
    Anyone? Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

    Download and Install CCleaner: http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/ccleaner_slim.html

When done open up the program and go to the Tools tab on the left.

Click on Startup and you'll be able to see what software is running at startup.

You'll have to check the "Windows" and "Scheduled Tasks" tabs, delete any lines that link to SmartDefrag and Iobit.

In these lines it will also show you where the program is being ran from, delete that folder too.

As I already had Ccleaner I found the problem fast in the Scheduled Tasks and deleded 2 lines. But being to fast I did not check the folder where it came from. Cant find it in the program files anyway. Hope everything will be allright now. Thanks

IObit installs most of it's apps in the x86 program folder, which is the following by default:

    C\Program Files (x86)\IObit\<ProgramName>

If it's not there, then click Start Button >> Search
Type in "iobit" or "smart" or "defrag" and you should be able to locate the remnant files.

Solved: I found all the paths with voidtools!!!!
But a strange thing happens. When the path is C:\Users\Client\AppData I would never find the AppData folder on my computer and had to delete the path with the voidtool. Removing the lock on the Client folder wont help.
Why cant I find the AppData folder????

Make sure you have configured your system to show all folders. Click Start Button >> Settings >> Control Panel >> Folder Options
Under "General" tab, check "Show all folders" checkbox
Under "View" tab, check "Show hidden folders, files, drives" radio button.
I'm pretty sure you'll need to restart Windows Explorer (or reboot) for that to take effect.
