Hello, so I'm trying to install JRE7 Update 51 but I'm receiving an error.

I've been reading into this, yet can find no fix to my issue. Hoping somebody here will be able to help me! So some info:

After receiving this error Java appears in my Control Panel, I can open it and change settings within it.

    Things I've tried:
    Offline Installer(64x and 32x)
JavaRa (To completely remove Java and go for a fresh install)
    Revo Uninstaller
    Microsoft FixIt
    Creating a new user account
    Manually editing registries
    Manually deleting ALL Java files
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
After getting this error I can verify that Java is installed on my machine, through Oracle's version checker and from within the Java Control Panel.

However Java does NOT appear in my user control panel as an installed program. I cannot run anything that uses Java.

    Minecraft for example,

Any help is greatly appreciated, I'm starting to get irritated. Thank you in advance, IpkYouDrop.

Are you saving the offline installation to your hard drive and exiting all browser sessions prior to running the installer?
What security software do you have running in real-time?

Yes and yes. I'm currently using Yet Another Cleaner's built in Anti Vir, but I disabled it pre installation.

Perhaps Java is installed but disable in your browser. I have had the Java control panel icon disappear on three occasions when I updated.
Since I only have Java installed on one computer, the paths I give are for XP. I can't check on Win 7 because I do not have it installed on any of the three Win 7 computers in the house.

    Programs/Java/jre7/bin and look for javacpl.exe
This is the control panel icon. I had to put a shortcut to it on the desktop at times so I could click it and see the settings.
If you have it, click the exe and look in the Advanced tab first. Be sure under Java console " Show Console is selected. That will get you the icon in the Control Panel.
Go to the Security tab and see that "Enable Java content in the browser is selected". Be careful with this because Java is the most popular way for malware to get into a computer.
I'd disable when I'm done with the site that requires Java. Most of the internet works fine with Java not installed or disabled.

I appreciate the help, I believe it was quite a large error somewhere. I could use web applications but not installed Java programs. Things like my Jcreator and Eclipse were starting to go wonky and I decided to move everything I need to my external and go for a clean install. I appreciate the help, if this topic could be closed it would be appreciated :)

Hopefully someone is still looking at this. My hair is almost gone (pulled out). I have Windows 7 SP1 and received the dialog to update my Java to 7-51. The install fails with the same dialog as in the initial post "The wizard was interrupted ..." I have tried JavaRA, online install from Java.com, manual downloads and installs of several version back to 6-39. Per other instructions I have read I uninstalled all the previous version of Java. So now I'm stuck. I have no Java installed but I can't install it. I've tried install in admin mode. Anyone have any other suggestions? Please????

I've had the exact same issue for the past few days while working on a friend's laptop. I managed to successfully install Java by enabling and using the default admin account. The install went without a hitch. I hope this helps.

P.S. Just made this account to post a reply for you :p
