Wow Twitter is full of...

self rigorous stuck up asses!

I joined it to help a friend set her account up and made one myself and gained an few followers, god knows where from as all bar 2 knew me, but heyho

I didn't use it a lot and gained a few followers, so I followed them, but one in particular is fcuked up as she posts (oh hell.. that's "tweets") a lot, but hates comments on her tweets! so she thanks you for a while then blocks you for having a better joke than her on one of her tweets...... is this world twitterlifficlyfcukedup??

I could name the person as they are stuck up their own self importance ion twitter but I will not as while I'm vindictive and an arrse I'm educated and have been on the net way before most.

I deleted my twitter account after being blocked by this one person, as hey I have better use of my time to read shite and post shite parts of your life.

Much prefer forums like Majorgeeks and Linkedin

 

Yes it seems that way Kat, she wants followers but if you comment on one of her tweets and its funny you get blocked, weird thing is I gave good feedback to her blog and gained good feedback. SO my favoured god Hypnos would likely say ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz snooze

Sad fact of social media is this.... I still prefer IRC as the social media king.

 

Hey I'm with you on Twitter... only joined to help setup an account for a friend, the twitterache grabbed me and I used it for 6 months and weird the fact that someone who invited to follow you blocks you for a joke in reply to a joke picture.. some folk are fcukedup!

So deleted account as I do not need it, my social circle is complete with folk that matter to me, either HERE on Majorgeeks, in email or in closed LinkedIn groups.

 

Well you are right, but I was seduced by the dark side.... that is no more dark than an "After Eight Mint"

 

I can see why you'd get sick of it and leave. I don't get stuff like twitter or even Facebook, which I do use, where there's no conversation that's really involved. People leave comments and that's usually it. I'd rather have a back and forth with someone like on a forum.

Best I can see all those social media sites are more for the 'hey, look at me and see what I'm doing' thing rather than actually socializing.

 

@Laura. last time I looked at my facebook account was near 12 months ago. keep telling folk I don't use it so email me on the personal email addy I gave you! Friend said to me a few months ago, did you not see all the birthday greetings to you on facebook, I said no as I don't use the thing.

 

While Facebook is like opening the fridge and saying "what the hell is in here I want", twitter is like opening the trash can and saying "is this it!"

Reading more twitter posts from many famous persons, I think in many cases its their minions, but have to think where do you get the time to tweet! and tweet shite!


I think social media and twitter is good for some things as in say advertising new ideals, but knowing what you pooped out yesterday is not a high priority

 

sadly twitter and its users thin abuse is the norm and accepted.... pitty the lives they lead really if they have to post the things like they did in the sample you gave Jeremy. Humanity is lost..........................


The internet has sadly gained an anonymous face for many to hide behind. Cowards the lot of them.
