Its kind of like those malware program that list 1,500 infections, when they are counting every single file and registry entry as separate infections.

Definately a legitimate program. It's my go-to cleaner as a replacement to CCleaner. Works great, but not on Windows Server.

Yes the results were legit. I watched the hard drive capacatiy jump after cleaning. This guy didn't know much about keeping his computer clean.

I've actually seen worse. It wasn't with this particular program, but I once cleaned a machine that was so infected it had found over 40,000 malware problems on it before one of them was actually smart enough to know the malware cleaner was running and shut down the computer to prevent it from finishing. That was a BEAST.

But this is bad, I'll tell you the same thing that I legitimately told everyone I talked to when I used to do over the phone tech support. If you wouldn't want your mommy knowing you looked at a website, it will break your computer. :p *runs Away*

Wow. That's a lot of malware. How did you wind up cleaning it?

And how are you wenchie? I think it's been a few years since I've heard from you :0

Its a lot less malware when you look at my previous post.

Each file, each registry entry (which are duplicated/triplicated across controlsets) countsas a single infection. It is for shock and awe, mostly. A single infection can generate 100+ files and entries. Its not 100 infections though.

The last client I did a job for had ~10 malware programs. MBAM listed it as over 1k infections.

I had to stop the scan and instruct it to clean what it had found multiple times before the virus could shut it down. Took hours. Finally I was able to isolate the file doing it and delete it, the re-run a final scan. Finally after I got it to stop restarting, I salvaged the important files and wiped the ****er. I told her to never let her teenage son touch it ever ever again or I would refuse to fix it.

I'm doing well, how are you? :)
