    For laptops?

    Nvidia, hands down.

AMD burned me with Enduro graphics.

+1 for Nvidia I totally agree with Adry :-D
I have a Dell 17R Inspiron Special Edition and I am very happy with it. The two main reasons I got it were the superb screen clarity and the outright system performance ;) Oh the other reason was quote below from a previous post :cool
    Here is a reiew ;)

That being said my son has a toshiba satellite that is now 5½ years old and went with him to high school every day for two years and then to University for the last three years and the only problem so far has been the battery failed last year and about a month ago the headphone jack broke from overuse. A new cheap generic battery and a USB headphone adapter have kept it going so that is pretty reliable for 5 years of abuse going to school in a backpack -D

If I was picking I would probably choose the Dell but maybe I am a bit biased rolleyes :major

I'm a big fan of Toshiba and as the IT Admin where I work, I usually get Toshiba notebooks for our staff. Over here in Australia it is because Toshiba have excellent onsite aftersales service included in their warranty. Many of our staff regularly fly around the country and also twice a year to the USA and England and the Toshibas seem to be the most reliable out of all we have tried so far including Samsung, ASUS, Lenovo, HP and Acer although there is also a very good mention for MSI but they are usually too expensive to get past the eagle eye of the company accountant. We have bought over forty laptops in the last eight or nine years and always get rid of them as soon as they are three years old (usually given away free to staff members kids). Some of the brands didn't even last two years and one Lenovo was replaced twice in 12 months under warranty then we scrapped it when warranty ran out ;)

It is a hard pick but if I were going to pick the Dell then I would try to find a model with Nvidia graphics. The Dell is rated more as a gaming laptop (slightly better performance) whereas the Toshiba is rated as just a laptop without the gaming tag but that is just from a few of reviews on each that I found online. The Toshiba has gigabit LAN and the Dell doesn't if that is important to you when you go to LAN parties so better network performance for Toshiba but otherwise line ball. The Dell would probably be better for games provided the ATI graphics was OK but I have been caught out with ATI/AMD before so I would look for Nvidia graphics.
Here are a couple of reviews and if you google the models you will find plenty more
    Dell review
    Toshiba review

thank you very much..i think i,m gonna choose Toshiba in the end..looks like it,s better in every thing and i,m going to buy it with 2gb vga so i think games wont be a problem^_^

Either of these will be a good choice but my preference would be the Toshiba too, only because I have had ATI compatibility trouble several times before so Nvidia is my preference for this reason. I also would prefer to have gigabit LAN but if you are only ever going to use wifi then this doesn't really matter :cool
Have fun with your new Toshiba :-D :major
