    Hi all.
am having intermitant audio play back issues with my bluetooth speaker, after a lot of experimentation,I found with my son's Iphone it works-no problem,so I have pinpointed it down to my old computer.
I have a HP workstation Xw6000,I upgraded to windows 7,from XP.
I have no yellow signs on my driver manager and I believe I have all the updates from windows for 7.
My son says they did not make sound driver for windows 7,only for XP,he has searched and not found any?
Could it be that I need a better sound card? an upgrade?
Also when I change pages, the sound goes off for a few seconds? :confused

    Hey First Sergeant,
I wish I could say I fixed the problem,I have been at it aaaalll day:cry,I tried all those fixes, what can I say,but a big thank you for trying to help me.
I have this way cool bluetooth speaker and I love it to bits, now I have this intermittent sound and it does my head in:hammer
I have this smaller problem with my regular desk top speakers, that might be a clue/related,when I'm streaming music and change a page, the sound stops for a second,I had this before and got it resolved, long time ago.
I have tried the bluetooth without streaming, same problem
Anyhow,if you think these two might be related, pleeeeze let me know
    Cheers :)

    Hi, Greybuffalo

When you said your son checked for windows 7 drivers and none had been made, did he mean for the computer, or for the bluetooth speakers?

Go to the website for the speakers and download the newest driver they have listed for XP. It's possible the drivers install routine won't work, but you can try and manually install the drivers. I had to do that with some motherboard audio drivers on a P4P800SE board when I installed Windows 7 32bit on it.

ASUS didn't have any Windows 7 (or even Vista) drivers for the board, but I was able to download the Xp driver files from ASUS, and when the setup.exe refused to run, I was able to manually point the system to the folder where the drivers were and install them that way. Audio on the board works fine. Not saying this will work for your speakers, but it's worth a shot anyway . . . a lot depends on what form the driver files are in for the speakers. What brand and model are they?

Sorry - just saw where you said they don't have drivers listed . . . hmmmmm. You mean any drivers at all?

Right click the speaker icon on your task bar, and select "Playback Devices" from the menu that is displayed. What devices are shown? If the bluetooth speakers are listed, make sure they are selected as the default playback device.

I suppose you could click "Yes" and see what effect that has on the issue . . . You can always undo it if it makes it worse. I'm at a loss at this point.

Yes, it's best to be cautious when messing with the registry. If you follow the directions to the letter you should be ok . . . but I suggest creating a restore point, and backing up the entire registry should something go awry.

You can look into a program like:

Good luck with the bluetooth issue. Should I run across anything that might be useful to you I'll post it. To be honest I haven't had a lot of experience with bluetooth devices and Windows 7.

    Sorry I couldn't help.
