    Cursor flashes when writing or runnig tools....

    Hi

    I will try to post.... my cursor is gone crazy. When i click on anything a straight line goes flashing across everything example... like in the notification icons on the bottom right hand corner, lets say that (1) is Norton icon and then I have 4 or 5 other icons and I try to open Norton a straight line just flashes across all 5 icons and not able to run Norton or any other. It stops running but after awhile resumes again. When trying to run any of the downloaded removal tools, the (cancel) option is lite (it is like a light) and can not run any of the tools. Even as I write at this moment and I try go back the cursor line will move forward across all the words till it reaches the end. This same page at moments moves up or down by itself. I don't know what to do. I want to say that English is my second language so any instructions that you may give me has to be very explicate, please, so that i can understand. I am also not very computer savvy so please give me precise instructions. I really appreciate all the help that i can get. If by chance anyone speaks Spanish it would be easier for me. Thanks to all my MajorGeeks friends that I know will be giving me a hand. I was able to post... took me awhile but I did it...... page goes up and down.... came back to edit and as soon as i tried to fix a few words the line just went running across all the words... like this.......................... hope i have explained myself well.....

    Just remembered, I had a pop-up from Soluto telling me that my WIFI had crashed which seemed very strange. When i started having this issue i was on Discus site and also here MajorGeeks.... thats what i remember..... I'm not saying that I got this here at MajorGeeks just informing so that you know where i was just before i had the problem, nothing more. Also remember that i have recently downloaded & installed Windows updates.....

    At this moment i do not have any issues but this has occurred before and the problem would just come back. As i write at this moment and if i had to go back as to fix something i wrote the cursor line would go across all the words like this IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII if you know what i mean... i have gone back on this page and still have not seen the problem..... i have the problem, it started right now again...... if i go back it would run across all the letters until reaching the end.....

    I probably do but what ever has infected my machine won't let me scroll to find it. I wish that someone could just see what i have going on on my machine. Even in safe mode with networking it will not let do what has to be done. This is so frustrating. So difficult to explain what is going on. At moments i think that it is removed and suddenly it happens again. When writing like I'm doing now the "line" the cursor has would run all over from top to bottom, like this IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII........ need help and about to give up........

    • Return to OTM, right click in the Paste List of Files/Folders to Move window (under the yellow bar) and choose Paste.

    I can not find OTM files... seems like everytime i try to to paste it it some how gets lost.... this is getting to be very frustrating........

    Trying to get OTM files but no way to get it.... looks like what ever is on my machine is not letting me do the copy paste of the OTM files........ can not get it with the notepad either......m i wish that you could see what i mean...... it is getting frustrating........

    Seems like i get this "please install" pop-up every once in awhile from software i have never heard of ..... i do not install it so what can this be ???????

    Run my steps in safe mode with networking if normal mode is proving to be difficult. I think I am going to have to end up referring you onto the software forum.

    I just noticed that the battery on the mouse (it's a Logitech 325 wireless) was almost dead so i changed it and put a fresh one and, for the moment it is working well with no issues. I just hope that that was the problem I was having. I will be back and let you know. I was able to post this comment with no funny stuff going on with the cursor like was happening before so just maybe that was the problem, I hope...... it's been close to 2 hours with no issues for the moment. I will be back..... thanks....... please let me know what you have discovered with the files I have sent you..... I will be back to update you on the issue........ when ever I would write like I am doing while I am posting, the cursor line would run from the beginning of the page to the end and that hasn't happened so far..... we will see what happens, I will be back......

    By the way, I was running all you told me in safe mode with networking.......

    This is incredible..... like I said, i changed the battery for a new one in my mouse cause it was basically dead and for the past 6 to 7 hours all was just fine and all i did was come back here to give an update on how things where going and, WHAM, it all started again...... this is unheard of...... what is going on ????? WHAT IS GOING ON?????

    I suspect that this malware is in the touch-pad software or driver but it won't let me remove or uninstall the driver or software..... when i can't use the touch pad is when all this flashing cursor thing is when it happens......

    This is what I've figured out.... when ever i have the issue with the cursor my "touch-pad" stops working and when I don't have the issue it works just fine. So I figure that it must be something wrong with the touch-pad's software or drivers. I have tried to uninstall the software and drivers but i am not able. I have also tried to turn it off or disable it and not able to. Its a little difficult to explain in words, i just wish that you could see with your own eyes for yourself..... I am convinced that it has to do with the touch-pad...... What should i do??? ......

    EUREKA.... was just able to disable the "touch-pad" and the flashing and flickering has suddenly stop..... just hope that the problem is with the touch-pad and either drivers or software..... i see that there is a tiny pilot light on the touch-pad and it stays lite, it won't go off.... will be back........

    What is this all about...... I give up...... ... yes, i was able to disable the touch-pad thinking that might be the issue but i have the freaking issue again.... it seems that what ever this is has a mind of it's own...... need help badly.... will be waiting for assistance...... have done all that is possible. Just so as you have an idea, when i came back to edit this comment the cursor "line" that appears when you are to write starts at the very beginning and runs or streaks from the very top all the ways to the last word..... The first word in this comment paragraph is "What" and the "line" starts with that word and runs all the ways down across all the words to the final word which is "word....." This is so FRUSTRATING ..... i definitely give up..... please, I need HELP.....

    I suggest at this point you should post about this in the software forum. You do not have any malware. :)


    If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
