    I have posted the link location of my issue above ( cursor line flashes and flickers ) and it is quite extensive so please read about the problem there. ... I was assisted by Kostrel13 and he or she did a complete check-up of my computer with no present malware. Well, that is what we assume. When you read all that was done from the above link i would think that it's safe to say that there is no presence of any malware..... I still have the log files if you need them... I am really frustrated with this issue so I will really appreciate all the help I can get......

    I wonder if it would be possible if you can take a look at this file.... i have the feeling that there is something wrong here so please take a look at file from Micro Trend Highjack......

    I took a look at your HiJackThis log and see a lot of missing files that appear to be associated with Windows itself. If you have the Windows installation DVD, go to Start -> Run and type in "SFC /scannow" (without the quotes and including the space between the C and forward slash). It may ask for the DVD. It may take a while to complete.

    I can't guarantee that it will correct the cursor problem though. That sounds more like a sticking key(s) issue and the keyboard on your laptop may need to be replaced.

    All those file missing entries are due to SysWOW64 redirection. That is, you are running an extremely outdated 32 bit application (HijackThis) on a 64 bit system, meaning that HJT is being directed to the SysWOW64 directory instead of the System32 directory, hence it erroneously reports files as missing.

    Yes..... you are correct on that issue. I had a friend that told me the same about HijackThis and he verified and said that all is OK. Thanks fr the info......

    " That sounds more like a sticking key(s) issue and the keyboard on your laptop may need to be replaced. ".... EUREKA..... that's it.... the keys for going up / down / left / right ..... i had one of the keys pop out a week or so ago and i "forced it back in" and i just verified and it was kind of stuck so i pressed it and it stopped "flashing and flecking" .... this is WONDERFUL.... I was about to go mad. Thanks so much for your help and providing the solution to my headache....... so easy yet so hard to get to it. I will be able to get some sleep now... THANK YOU SO MUCH..... I will be back just incase anything comes up..... again THANKS......

    @melen001,

    You're entirely welcome! :)

    After having read all of your posts, that was the only possibility I could think of. Now, if you had told us in the beginning about the key popping out especially, an arrow key...;)

    Yes.... now i realize just how simple the solution was and right under my nose. WOW, how would i ever known something like that was the culprit of the whole problem. I also did the SFC/scannow as you suggested and all is just perfect thanks to you. When cleaning my PC about a week ago i popped out one of the keys and when i noticed and found it i put it back and pressed it in kind of hard so it was stuck and it would just make the cursor run like crazy all over the place. It was intermittent and it would do what it was doing like "when ever it wanted to" at least that how it seemed to me. I even thought that maybe someone was running my PC like if it was controlled by remote access. Weird but that came to mind, i had no other explanation........ This has taught me that i should be "more careful" when realizing any kind of maintenance on my PC whether it be software, removing malware or just general hardware cleaning like the keyboard. Like i said before, a simple fix was all i needed and "right under my nose"........ Well, what else can i say but, THANKS A MILLION and even though i almost went "haywire" and had a nervous break down, it has served it's purpose so the experience was a positive one. Have to look at the bright side that's what i say...... thanks again and you have a friend her in sunny Puerto Rico......

    PS: just in case i said anything funny or incorrect , English is my second language...

    Here's a little something for you to enjoy from my home town..... the harbor about 5 or 6 houses from my home and the building is where I work........ the video is a "musical tour of my island Puerto Rico... ENJOY ..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gktpKtSzhjQagain thank you so much and I'm at your service.......
