I've recently managed to install Hiren's boot CD on my HDD, in my repair/check
    PC.
It's running smoothly and all that, altough I was wondering if I could some how
    turn of the Ramdrive creation?

The main reason for that is that I have currently 256 RAM installed, the ramdrive takes about 15mb from the RAM and only has 1.18mb free.
I wanted to be able to install programs that I would be currently be working on,
like Active@ killdisk, furmark and ATItool, along with some others.

    So the question is.
Can I remove the ramdrive and use the local disk instead.
    or
Can I change the settings on how much mb ramdrive is given, then I would
put in 1gb stick for that purpose.

I don't think you'll get an answer. Hiren's is a Boot CD is is not meant to be installed.
You use the tools on it as needed and then remove the disk.

Well yes I know it's a boot disk, it's also supported for USB boot.
The main reason I installed it on a HDD is becouse it's much faster then
from a CD or a USB key.

Do you know where I could get the desired info since I can't get it here?

I haven't used Hiren's in quite a while and have never used it off a HD so I can't give you any tweaking advice. This thread gives a little information about how the disc is laid out and you might find something useful in it to give you some ideas.

I don't think a DOS format will understand or use 1GB of RAM. I do see some variations of the download include HBCD Customize which may be a customization tool.

Hi Mazarin07. Welcome to Major Geeks. :)

If you look, this thread goes back to the beginning of 2011 and hasn't been revisited since. I don't know that you're going to get a reply from playman. Hiren's has since been categorized as warez by MG's so, I don't think you'll really get any help.

    Hello!
    Thanks for the welcome message!
I don't hope too much to get a feedback from playman, but who knows... 4 years have passed since this topic was visited last time, and maybe he'd got more expertise in these issues since then.
