Can't sign into laptop

    I am trying to help a friend with her Dell laptop win8. Her password isn't allowing her to sign in. Not sure if a typo happened when she created it; not really sure what has gone wrong. I have no backups to work with. No guest accounts created. Any solutions?

    Unfortunately, MGs may not be able to assist you because of the difficulty in proving ownership of the computer.

    Perhaps Dell can shed some insight.
