    Hello again. :)

    Re run Hitman Pro and have it remove all that it finds.

    Before we move on, is this user deliberately set up to use a proxy?

    Hello.

    Thanks, will do that. No, the user is not supposed to be configured to use a proxy.

    http://img805.imageshack.us/img805/9659/rktigzy.gif Fix items using RogueKiller.

    Double-click RogueKiller.exe to run. (Vista/7/8 right-click and select Run as Administrator)
    When it opens, press the Scan button
    Now click the Registry tab and locate these detections:

    • [Suspicious.Path] (X64) HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2615116550-3868908572-1265902181-1001\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run | hnvuppih : regsvr32.exe /s "C:\ProgramData\hnvuppih.dat" -> FOUND
    • [Suspicious.Path] (X86) HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2615116550-3868908572-1265902181-1001\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run | hnvuppih : regsvr32.exe /s "C:\ProgramData\hnvuppih.dat" -> FOUND
    • [PUM.Proxy] (X64) HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2615116550-3868908572-1265902181-1001\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings | ProxyServer : http=127.0.0.1:49177;https=127.0.0.1:49177 -> FOUND
    • [PUM.Proxy] (X86) HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2615116550-3868908572-1265902181-1001\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings | ProxyServer : http=127.0.0.1:49177;https=127.0.0.1:49177 -> FOUND
    • [Suspicious.Path] UpdaterEX.job -- C:\Users\Ken-Sony\AppData\Roaming\UPDATE~1\UPDATE~1\UPDATE~1.EXE (/Check) -> FOUND
    • [Suspicious.Path] \\UpdaterEX -- C:\Users\Ken-Sony\AppData\Roaming\UPDATE~1\UPDATE~1\UPDATE~1.EXE (/Check) -> FOUND

    Place a checkmark next to each of these items, leave the others unchecked.
    Now press the Delete button.
    When it is finished, there will be a log on your desktop called: RKreport[2].txt
    Attach RKreport[2].txt to your next message. (How to attach)
    Reboot the machine.

    Delete this:
    C:\Windows\tasks\UpdaterEX.job

    • Now rerun RogueKiller again (just a scan) and attach new log.
    • Explain how things are running.

    After running HitmanPro, then running RogueKiller, the following entries could not be found:
    • [Suspicious.Path] (X64) HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2615116550-3868908572-1265902181-1001\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run | hnvuppih : regsvr32.exe /s "C:\ProgramData\hnvuppih.dat" -> FOUND
    • [Suspicious.Path] (X86) HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2615116550-3868908572-1265902181-1001\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run | hnvuppih : regsvr32.exe /s "C:\ProgramData\hnvuppih.dat" -> FOUND
    • [PUM.Proxy] (X64) HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2615116550-3868908572-1265902181-1001\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings | ProxyServer : http=127.0.0.1:49177;https=127.0.0.1:49177 -> FOUND
    • [PUM.Proxy] (X86) HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2615116550-3868908572-1265902181-1001\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings | ProxyServer : http=127.0.0.1:49177;https=127.0.0.1:49177 -> FOUND

    Only the following two entries were present under the Tasks tab:

    • [Suspicious.Path] UpdaterEX.job -- C:\Users\Ken-Sony\AppData\Roaming\UPDATE~1\UPDATE~1\UPDATE~1.EXE (/Check) -> FOUND
    • [Suspicious.Path] \\UpdaterEX -- C:\Users\Ken-Sony\AppData\Roaming\UPDATE~1\UPDATE~1\UPDATE~1.EXE (/Check) -> FOUND

    I Placed a checkmark next to each of the above items, leaving the others unchecked.
    I then pressed the Delete button.
    I saved the Report [RKreport_DEL_08182014_203609] to the desktop [attached]
    I then Rebooted the machine.

    Upon reboot, the UpdaterEX.job file wasn't present. I guess the HitmanPro / RogueKiller activity had already removed it?

    [RKreport_SCN_08182014_204820] Log file along with [RKreport_DEL_08182014_203609] attached as requested

    Things appear to be running well, but I hadn't noticed anything adverse from these infections, so I can't comment other than anything is still working as it should. Reboots ok, connects to network, etc. :)

    Regards...

    You forgot to explain how things are running. :)

    I didn't, I was just in the middle of edits. I bit off more than I could chew, then added how things were running at the end.

    OK, final steps below then as long as all is well. :)

    If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
