Streaming with a smart tv

Iam not sure were to put this thread

just bought a smart tv and was wandering if i need software to stream football from the internet , i can watch films etc from my pc on my smart tv but when i go to sites to stream football all i get is ads and no football , can anyone help ?

Are you sure it isn't just a case of you trying to access subscription channels?

 

nope as the channels iam trying to stream from are free , cant believe no one no's how to do this tbh as smart tv's have been out for a while now :cry

 

I use a HDMI cable to connect my laptop to the TV to watch things like college baseball that is being shown on the internet when it is not shown on TV. My TV is not a smart TV with wireless capability.

 

The Smart TV browser probably does not support Flash or Java so you will be limited in what you can watch through the browser.

 

If it's Android-based, then there is no Flash Player.

Try to find a browser that supports server-side rendering.

 

DirectTV offers a $200 streaming only package for mobile devices.

However, you have to be in certain metro areas, live in an apartment building, or be a college student to be able to purchase it. I smell a lawsuit...

It comes with a basic browser that isn't made for viewing videos. No built in Flash. As far as I know Hitachi doesn't have an app store so what comes pre-installed is what you get. To view videos from the internet you will need to hook up a laptop with HDMI or whatever AV adapter the laptop has.
