    Ccmod.exe - System Error.

The program can't start because MSVCR120D.dll is missing from your computer. Try Reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

Well, I don't know what the hell CCmod is and a google search isn't much help. I'm not about to download something off the web without some trusted info. Any advice is welcome, I've received good info here before.

The error is persistent, and begins at startup. If you close out of the message it'll only pop back up in a few moments. AVG and Microsoft Security Essentials on duty. Will install malwarebytes etc if needed.

    Windows 7 64
    Need any more info, ask.

Try these instructions here. Make sure your sound isn't muted.

I'm hesitant to download A DLL from the web and put it into my OS. Especially when I don't know why I need the DLL, nor what is running the program. Thank you kindly for the video link, but if it was that simple I would have done it myself already.

Maybe if you could give me some background info on this error, or a use case, I'd be more inclined to email microsoft support and ask for the software.

Have a look at this from the Microsoft Community. The Microsoft respondent recommends running sfc /scannow.

Download Autoruns, create a directory for Autoruns, and extract the content of the zip file to the directory.
Right click and launch Autoruns.exe as Administrator, then press escape [Esc] once it has started scanning. Select Options -> filter options and make sure 'Verify code signatures' and 'Hide Microsoft entries' are both selected. Press F5 to refresh, and allow the scan to complete.
Once finished go to File -> save and save the AutoRuns.arn file to somewhere convenient. Zip the file, and attach to your post.

    AutoRun log attached.

sfc /scannow was successful. No integrity violations.

Do you know what the following entry is:
    Mcfee.lnk Mcfee (Not verified) Microsoft c:\programdata\mcafee\mclogs\data\lan\mcfee.exe 7/2/2014 3:50 AM

Have you installed any game mods for any Steam games?
Do you still receive the error if you boot into safe mode or safe mode with networking?
