advice on a laptop upgrade

    Hi I have a big problem deciding and cloudless where to go from here and here is a Inspiron E1705 with 17" LCD and 1920x1200 resolution and I need advice on upgrading to a faster laptop with more RAM more memory .
    I guess the biggest question is that all my software are for 32x bit on windows 7
    With the amount of software installed on this machine is slowly getting very slow and performance deprived.

    I am thankful for any advice......

    maybe $500.00 something like this workstation

    Dell Precision M6500 Mobile Workstation, i5 2.53 Ghz, 8GB, 1TB, Win 7

    my biggest concern is the software i have to work on the 64 bit system

    Your 32-bit apps will run just fine on a 64-bit system. Have a look at this page.
