Computer is acting odd (just came from malware)

Hey guys,

I just got some great help from TimW and he took care of everything on the malware side.

My computer is still acting a little strange and one of my programs (Elgato Gaming) keeps freezing. I am currently in contact with support, even after uninstalling and re-downloading the software. I was wondering if it was something on my end with my computer.

Any help would be great. See attached.

I happen to have one of those laptops here right now.
It came with Win 8?
Please list your installed OS and programs.

You might try disabling your firewall and anti virus briefly as a test. Check your running programs and be sure you do NOT have two anti-virus running at the same time.

 

Thanks for responding.. you like comodo that much? I was wondering which I should use. I do not have 2 firewalls, actually I prob. don't have one anymore since my webroot is up.

I use Elgato Game Capture and has been working fine for over 2 months.. out of the blue it starts freezing and stuff. I contacted their support and did the obvious of uninstalling and reinstalling the software. For some reason it now freezes. Drive me crazy!

 

I'm playing on an XBOX 360 not on this laptop. My laptop just takes the signal. Again, it was completely fine at first.

 

I am a bit confused, how are you using the laptop?
Are you bridging a connection to the xBox?
What error messages are you getting?

 

I am only using it to record gameplay with Elgato Gaming. I do not play games on here. Looks like Elgato did a report on my computer and it showed some errors with my Video Card, so I am trying to update that now.
