I am getting a new computer and when I do want to transfer videos from my miniDV camera to the computer. Is this best done with Firewire or USB 3.0?

The computer doesn't come with Firewire so I would have to put in a card. I saw a few posts saying you don't need to because USB 3.0 is just as fast or faster. Please let me know your opinion.

    Thanks

This page lists the max speeds for the different connections.

Thanks but that doesn't tell me if where video DV is concerned is there any inherent advantage to one over the other.
