So I've posted about my issues with enabling auditing/permissions from an Admin account. I've also posted about my trouble with Windows Update. I haven't posted that my BIOS password suddenly changed, and I don't know how. I'm thoroughly upset, but I've run the scans. I had some issues, first MGTools wouldn't download into the C:\, I had to cut and paste it there. I received the prompt "the client lacks a privledge". I took some screenshots, and then found out that paint.exe doesn't run, so I couldn't paste them and upload them as well. The first was of the client issue with MGTools, the other of the disabling of some features in MBAM as I scanned after I had enabled them all, it disabled, I clicked fix all, it did, they disabled, I clicked fix all then it stopped. I haven't seen any other issues beyond that. Unless my browser should not have been redirected to api.viglink.com when downloading one of the scanners, I don't remember which one. I hope I'm not wasting your time, but I've had to reload this computer three times because it's failed that many times since I had RCN hook up my internet, before that no issues. Thanks in advance. I couldn't attach the malware bytes log, it's in xml format. Boy this computer was a ripoff I think.

It occurred to me that I could save the xml file as a .log after I cleaned it, so here.

The instructions tell you that you should save it to your Desktop if you have problems saving it the C:\

You did not get it to run properly based on your logs. Typically this occurs when things like UAC is still enabled, or Run As Administrator is not used, or protection software gets in the way. However I don't think we need the log because there are no issues showing in your other logs and the symptoms you are talking about seem more like Windows problems.

You may want to try giving the below a run but other than that, I suggest you post in the Software Forum.

Be patient while doing the below. The fixes can sometimes take quite awhile to run. Especially the permissions repairs. It may be best to kick it off and goto bed or do something else. It is better not to run anything while the repairs are going on.

Download Windows Repair by Tweaking.com and unzip the contents into a newly created folder on your desktop.
    • Now run Repair_Windows.exe by double clicking on it ( if you are running Vista or Win 7, use right click and select Run As Administrator)
    • Now select the Start Repairs tab.
    • The click the Start button.
    • Create a System Restore point if prompted.
    • On the next screen, click the Unselect All button to first deselect all repairs.
    • Now select the following repair options:
      • Reset Registry Permissions
      • Reset File Permissions
      • Register System Files
      • Repair WMI
      • Remove Policies Set By Infections
      • Repair Windows Updates
      • Repair MSI (Windows Installer)
    • Now on the lower right side check the box to Restart/Shutdown System When Finished
    • Then make sure the Restart System radio button is enabled.
    • Shutdown any other programs that you are running now before continuing.
    • Now click the Start button.
    • Be patient while the tool repairs the selected items.
    • It should reboot automatically when finished. If it does not then reboot it yourself.
