Win 7 stops, computer still on

    This problem started 2 days ago. I was browsing using Firefox, clicked on a link, the screen froze and then the screen went black. The computer remained on. It rebooted in windows with the error message "PiconStartup.exe Entry point not found. The procedure entry point _Alfmod could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll" The screen then went black again. I rebooted in safe mode. NAV displayed an error message. I attempted to access Windows Security Center. It was not available. In following the instructions in read and run first, I rebooted after disabling UAC. It booted into windows, then the screen went black again. The problem does not happen in safe mode. Thanks for helping with this.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    Your logs only showed a little bit of junkware that was quarantined with Malwarebytes. This is not cause of your problems. PIconStartup.exe is related to Intel(R) PIconStartup (PIcon startup utility). You should really work in the Software Forum for this. Perhaps you are having driver issues.
