Fascebook And FlashPlayer

Hi All,
Been trying to watch video's on Facebook.
Download after download of Adobe Flash Player does nothing apart from a here and now short term fix.

How do I make Flashplayer stay permanently?
Does anybody have a link to an online video flash player that isn't Adobe's?

I have tried IE's add-on's.
Same thing doesn't work with Opera either,.

I have the latest IE.
I am on Win 7 64 bit.

Name one of those flash player downloads please apart from Adobe.

 

VLC media player should be able to do it, but I always uncheck the option to use it that way on first run. Have not used Adobe flash player for about the past year now, will call it a personal preference and leave it at that. In my browser youtube works fine w/o it.

 

I will give this a try and report back.

I broke it down leading to www.macromedia.com and got directed back to Adobe's current website.

 

You don't want to break it down. You want to copy the entire contents that plodr put in the code box, paste it into the address bar and tap "Enter." At that point a download dialogue window/box should pop up allowing you to save the active_x.exe installer file.

I did then, it didn't work so I broke it down.

Facebook is now playing media files and the only add-on I see in IE is Adobe's shockwave player which is enabled.

All good.
VLC media player seems to have cut it.
