Android - Running Out Of Storage Space Dilemna

Get this - my internal storage is just under 2 GB
SD card is 30GB
Internal storage is 398MB used with 105MB free.
SD card is 1.2GB used with 29GB free.

How can I run out of storage space when I set my phone to send all apps to SD card?

And how can I send all my apps to work directly from my SD card and not leave their footprints on my internal memory taking up space?

This baffles me.
I have had to remove some of my apps in order to get other apps in and media content doesn't seem to affect storage issues.

 

Not all apps run off of SD, even if you tell them to. In addition, system apps will never run off of SD and will use internal storage for extra files from usage.

 

i had a cheap phablet, ikept running out of space - it looked like it was the cache and cookies that kept doing it. I ended up getting a different phone.

 

I filled up 32gb of storage and could no longer use and install apps...my 64gb SD card was mostly empty.

It's part of the reason Google pushes for larger internal storage instead of SD cards.
