Outlook.com has gotten way too script heavy. Can anyone recommend alternatives that can log into outlook? Thanks.

Are you refering to Microsoft Office Outlook?

No, I am referring to Microsofts free outlook.com email service, previously hotmail.

I have an Outlook.com account. I receive my email in both Microsoft Office Outlook and EssentialPIM. I don't have to visit Outlook.com. Is that what you want to do?

I'm asking for alternatives to Microsoft Office Outlook I suppose. That can log into the service. Can PIM log into my outlook email?

Firstly, a popular alternative to Microsoft Office Outlook is Mozilla Thunderbird. But IMO, it has to many features and options.

Secondly, you can configure EssentialPIM to receive your email from Outlook.com, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, etc. The email client is just one of the (free) program's great features.

Can those programs also delete the email on the server, or is it just going to pile up there?

To synchronize the email on the server with the email in EssentialPIM, you will have to create the email account in EssentialPIM using IMAP - not POP3. The program includes a help file.

    Hello.

There is quite a few alternatives to Outlook. Obviously there is Mozilla Thunderbird but there is also Windows Live Mail, Mailbird and eM Client which are also quite good.

Hi everyone, just new to this forum. There are some of us "oldies" who have used Outlook Express for many years and miss it very much, there is an alternative, OE-Classic, free version and paid version at, http://www.oeclassic.com/ Very easy to use , I've been using the paid version for 3 months now and it's great. Works with Win 7, 8. :)
