    aka CEIP

Read something about it on the web but would like to have your expertise/input if it is OK to disable the ones (3 of them) that show in Taskmanager. To add, I didn't install KB3021917. Keep in mind that I am on Win 7 and will stay on it for as long as my PC will last.

What are the drawbacks of disabling them or any benefits in keeping them?

I've included a pic of it. Looking forward to your expertise.

I'll assume it is safe. I had to search to even find the Customer Experience Index folder. Thanks to VoidTools I found it. Forgot to mention this is 7 Home Premium 64 bit that I looked at.

Since mine indicate they have not been changed since 14 August 2009 and the computer is working fine, I guess they aren't needed. I choose not to send feedback to ANYONE, not just Microsoft. (I don't run the Mozilla Maintenance Service).
I just checked and the computer was purchased 18 August 2013 so I suspect it was turned off by Acer.

Click Consolidator and then the History tab. Look when last the task ran.
Agreed with plodr - it can be disabled.

Great!! :) Thanks so much!! I knew that I can count on the experts here! There is a choice to disable or delete and other choices. I disabled the 3 of them.

@Plodr: How I found them: Task Scheduler>Windows>Customer Experience Program. Never thought about using Void Tools for this.

@Eldon: these run about once every 3 days.

Here's another one to look at. Mine is set to Ready.

Task Scheduler Library > Microsoft > Windows > Application Experience.

Mine was set to ready as well and would run again....

Found an easier way (perhaps the correct one?) to disable CEIP in my Win 7.

Control Panel>Action Center>Change Action Center Setting, click Customer Experience Improvement Program Settings - select: No, I don't want to participate in the program. Save Changes.

    That's it.

Now you'll have to do that with MS Office too if you use it.

No, I don't have that, perhaps others do. Using WordPerfect sometimes.
