    Play Minecraft for Windows 10 and worry less about it. I do not believe it requires Java either.

    Of course, its not quite the same as the Java version. My daughter still prefers the Java version.

    The OP is using an XP computer!
    Personally I wouldn't put XP out on the internet. I'm not sure if the current version of Java runs on XP; if not adding a vulnerable older version just makes the computer a larger target.

    MineCraft 10 question....

    Minecraft is not even at version 2, so thats not a version number. That is why I thought they were talking about Windows 10, because Minecraft: Windows 10 edition came out recently.

    I am so sorry for the confusion here y'all. Please forgive me. :-o

    I am talking about MineCraft on Windows 10. Yes my hubby does have a Windows XP PC but I have upgraded my PC to Windows 10 and my grandson is playing MineCraft on my PC.

    Can I change the Title to stop the confusion?
