Best IE fit for W7 ?

    Just uninstalled problems prone IE11 and wondering if IE8 (it worked well with XP), or other, may be a better match.
    Thoughts ?

    Windows 7 has Internet Explorer 8. I updated to IE 9 and haven't had any problems.

    Thanks for the info !
    Makes sense, next step up (EI8 to IE9) for XP to W7.
    Will give it a try.
    Ps:
    MS download choices are...
    1. Windows Internet Explorer 9 for IT Professionals and Developers--Windows Vista 64-bit Edition and Windows Server 2008 64-bit Edition
    2. Windows Internet Explorer 9 for IT Professionals and Developers--Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008
    Assume #1. is it for W7 ?

    Thanks, like workarounds for MS, trying site...
    Looks like FFox didnt want me to download IE9 (per attached scrnsht) ?

    What happens if you click on the lower-right option to -
    You can always submit the saved download to Jotti's malware scan, or VirusTotal for an online scan before installing it.

    The only version of Internet Explorer that will be supported on Windows 7 in January 2016 is version 11.

    So, keep IE 11 and if you are having problems, use another browser. It is safer than using an unpatched insecure browser on the internet.
