Anyone have any good new games they are playing?

    I've got three :-D

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2
    The Walking Dead 2
    Dreamfall Chapters

I'm not much of a gamer, but a few years ago I got Prime Suspects. It's a Hidden Objects game. It took me 8 hours to eventually find the diamond! At my last attempt, I was down to 3 hours.

Then a friend got a new PC with some preloaded games - 1 hour trials. After a not-so-nice remark, I found the 1 game... it was/is the mother of all Hidden Objects games - Mystery of Mortlake Mansion. It took me about 12 hours to finish.

Hmmm...I have never heard of hidden object games. I just looked up Mystery of Mortlake Mansion and it is free. The download came back clean when I scanned it with my AV, so I may give it a try. I like adventure games which are point and click with extensive stories.

    Darkest Dungeon

Turn-based strategy RPG heavily steeped in Lovecraftian cheese.

    Awesome. :major

I have been playing Fallout Shelter.
It is an android game but I have been using Blue Stacks on my laptop.
The game is a SIM and isn't very high in the excitement ratings but it is a bit addictive and you can leave it and come back and it has still been playing in your absence. When you have played for a while it becomes fairly predictable ;)
Playing it keeps the Fallout interest going for me until I get my pre order copy of Fallout 4 in November :cool

Damn, that looks intense. I swore I had played something by Red Hook Studios, but it looks like they are new and this is their only game out.

I had BlueStacks installed. That's a great program.

    Yes, they are a newcomer.

And that is not a game for the faint or heart or stomach. The stress mechanic is disturbingly realistic and unforgiving... this may be the only game I've ever played where sending your character off on a drinking binge in a brothel is good for them! (It relieves the stress...)

I'm playing a Windows Store game called Hitman Go at present a bit of a twist on a board game but really good, Taptiles Im playing on my Surface is awesome both with great graphics. Not really played any other big name games other than still messing with Battlefield3, PC can take high end games, just have no time to play them of late.

Took a break from the intensity of the darkest dungeons and installed Mystery of Mortlake Mansion, since I like hidden object games. Now to play it and find out if I like it... :)

I think it probably is a good thing i don't play hidden object games for the complex story and stellar voice acting... that said, it was fun, and when all is said and done, that is what matters. :)

    I totally agree.
BTW Did you finish the game? It's a :***

I did. A little predictable, but it was fun and the puzzles were entertaining. :)

Darn you Mimsy....... saw Mystery of Mortlake Mansion in your previous post and loaded it up ;) Just spent the last couple of days addictively playing through to the end and yes there was stellar voice acting (especially the raven and ghost) .....not roflmao
Although the story concept was interesting but cheesy ;)

Now to get Mortlake Mansion 2............rolleyes

They are actually very good compared to what you get if you set the main character to female...

    Yes, I know. It's a frightening thought.

Wait, there is a sequel? Huh. :)

Hmmm.... I might play again as female to get the full effect LOL

Bad news on the sequel :( I downloaded Mystery of Mortlake Mansion 2 and installed it and it was the same game again just incorrectly named :( rolleyes
I sent a note to the free game site I downloaded from so now I will see if they correct their error so nobody else gets caught;)

I had the same experience with another game.
Great Secrets - Nostradamus and Hidden Secrets - Nostradamus are the same game.

BTW joffa and Mimsy, do share your game download sites.

Howdy Eldon pm sent as I don't want to post links to external places on the forum that aren't already tested safe by MGs ;) :cool

Just downloaded the beta of Star Wars Battlefront, the graphics as awesome, the gameplay a little less, seems in the scenarios I have played so far that even in easy level you are dead in seconds, too hard to play in reality.

Hi joffa...we are okay with long standing members posting links. That's a gray rule and mostly for newer members or those who take advantage. So you are welcome to post they link and share. :)

Thanks Laura and here are a few sites ;) :cool

I play a few rounds of Wordchuck every day (usually with my afternoon coffee) on the Agames website. Sometimes I also play Hidden Express or Dominoes here when I am waiting for something to complete and I have already done my emails and checked MGs ;)
I often download new games from some of these sites just to see what are the latest game trends
There are many more sites that fell by the wayside like Happy Puppy (everyone from the 1990s would remember them) but these ones are most of my current picks that are relatively safe (some have ads etc):-D
    Enjoy ;)

    Thank you Laura and Pete.
You're input is invaluable to this thread.

BTW If I'm not doing my job, I'm playing games... :-D ;) :cool :wave

    Steam
    GoG
    Desura

    ;)

Side-note, for those of you with a Steam account the Midnight Mysteries series of hidden object games is available and enjoyable. Just don't pay the full $9.99 for them. Wait for a good sale and get them at 75% or 80% off.
