I am not a experienced, technical person. I have not been here in a long time, and that's a good thing.
I have a Dell inspiron with Windows 7. I run both Webroot and Norton 360 and have for years with no problem. Sometimes Norton catches a potential problem, sometimes it's Webroot.
I recently renewed Norton 360, and for a few days I received messages from Norton saying that Webroot was incompatible and offered me the opportunity to uninstall Webroot which I did not do.
Now I cannot access Firefox or Explorer. I've uninstalled Norton and then Firefox and Webroot work. I then re-installed 360 and again cannot access Firefox or Explorer.
Trying to reach Norton support is a joke.
    Can anyone help? Thank you
    George

If Norton reports 360 and Webroot will not work together, then I think your experience bears that out.

You uninstalled Norton and your browsers work. Have you uninstalled Webroot and tested?

If they work then you need to decide which program you prefer and remove the other one. Then search for something that is compatible with the program you choose to keep installed.

I don't use either so I can't help you troubleshoot.

    Hi Georgew7510,

Sorry for the inconvenience. It is not recommended to use more than one Security software on the same computer, as these software’s will try to access the system resources at same time and that will decrease the system performance which may lead to a system crash situation. Also, the real time scanner of one anti-virus software may detect the other software signature files as malware and vice-version which will eventually make your computer un-secured. It is always safe and recommended to have one Security software installed on the computer. Could you let me know if you have tried to disable Norton Firewall and check the status? Also, may I know the name/version of Norton security you have in the PC? I could help you with it.

    Thanks!
