Antivirus Not Scanning Some Files

There are a few issues I've been having with my computer.

    1. When I run a scan with Avast it doesn't give me the results at the end anymore. Instead it shows a message reading "Avast could not scan some files".
    2. Computer does not go into Safe Mode with F8 or an other F key. I can only get it to go into safemode from Msconfig>Boot>Safemode.
    3. Once I got it into safemode I noticed that there is file that appears only in my admin account Desktop and only in safe mode not in regular startup. Could be from me changing the options in MSconfig to start up in Safemode but I just want to make sure. the file is " IZ-PC.arn "
    4. I used to have my sleepmode set up to where moving my mouse or pressing a key would wake the PC. Then a few months ago the computer would just automatically awaken by itself after a minute or two. So I disabled the mouse as an option to wake and this worked for about a month. Then it started waking up randomly again so I disabled the keyboard as an option to wake and now I have to press the power button to wake it up but it doesn't randomly wake anymore. Anything I can do to fix?

I ran all scans and I noted things that were a little different from instructions or not working.

    1. I couldn't download tdsskiller from any of the links provided on majorgeeks and when I click on download from author it takes me to the same page from MGeeks. I went to google >bleepingcomputer and was able to download it just fine. Noticed that when I was going thru Mgeeks the download file name did not show the extension .exe and it did show the extension when using bleepingcomputer. When using MGeeks links it actually ran through the download process completely but the only files that appeared on desktop were a "tdsskiller partial html file" and a file that said tdsskiller and in its properties under file type it just said "FILE".

2 When I opened roguekiller it never showed the software license terms, and it didn't run a pre-scan as the instructions said. I checked the progress and it did say "initializing" and then went straight to the words "press scan now". Once I pressed scan it ran properly until the section that says "scanning discs" came up, then another window popped up that explained what a PUM was and said that I had a pum but it was up to me to remove it. Once I closed that window. Roguekiller had not finished scanning, it was back to the main screen, and there wasn't window with an option to view or save a logs. I did however read the log attachment procedures and found that the Rogue file should be called RKreport, so I did a search under computer and found a file , which I attached, with an extension of ".json" . I will attach the screen shot of the PUM screen popup.

    3. I disabled both Avast and Comodo Firewall before I ran MGtools and Comodo just kept popping up anyways. I had to keep clicking the "Allow" button but other than the constant pauses it seems that MGtools ran fine.

That will not work. You need to Export TXT as shown here...

aaaahhh. I see, the screen doesn't just automatically come up after scan is done. You have to click on Report. Not sure if the instructions explained that, I must have missed it. Here is that report.

Sorry about the late response. ;) Been very busy. I am not seeing any malware at all in those logs.

Re run Hitman Pro, activate the free trial and have it remove the item it finds.

You might have to post in th software forum about avast not scanning some files. Or perhaps uninstall it and reinstall it.

I think if you look at a log from Avast that you will see this is normal. There are many protected system files that are not accessible. And also sometimes there are file inside of protected archives ( like ZIP, RAR...etc ) that cannot be scanned. It could be normal. Without seeing a log from Avast, we cannot comment one way or another.

I couldn't print a scan log of the results of my Avast scan but here is a few screen shots of some of the files that show as error can't scan. Looks like most of the files end in ".manifest". There is quiet a bit of these files I'd say about 250 files. If there is any information on this screen shot that I shouldn't share please remove? I believe they are all update files for Win10. Nothing here needs removing.

Hi, thanks for the speedy response. I ran the hitman pro scan once more as you recommended and deleted the one item it found. I included the log. thanks again !

    Excellent. ;)

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
