    Perhaps not a missing limb? I was just about to joke about the UK squirrels having a Napoleon complex like they do here in Washington....because ours sit with three limbs on the ground and one as if tucked into a shirt or jacket, "looking cute" we call it...​

    Not a brilliant shot, light was terrible today, but I had a little wander in the drizzle, and glad I did, because it meant coming away with this funny capture. Oh how I laughed... just as I clicked the shutter, this male Blackbird who I was focussed on, regurgitated what looks to be pink suet pellets.... :D I just about wet myself giggling as I was taking his pic.

    I can't help going back to that photo.
    The tree's branches have shaped the sun into an almost perfect 6-pointed star.
    The sun is a star... and nature has just proved it.

    On Thursday morning my neighbour phoned me and asked if I could look after her dog.
    This 'girl' was her (late*) daughter's best friend. She's a Maltese Poodle - one of the most popular dogs in SA.

    * Her daughter passed away 18 days earlier. She was a good friend and a great artist.

    Had an hour or so in the local graveyard today, the weather was wonderful, perfect light.. but quite nippy. I was walking along the hedges when I heard a rustling noise, I held my cam poised expecting to see a Sparrow appear, but instead, this little beauty popped out. (European Robin)

    It was very cold today, but the sun was out and doing it's best... we had a wander around town....I was watching a bird feeding station, and movement underneath it caught my eye. I was thrilled to bits when a Rat popped it's head up and stayed still long enough for a piccy or two. :)

    I like the 3rd shot in #231 of the robin being called in. Used to get squirrels to come to pieces of apples believe it or not. At a park in Tallahassee Fla. so I guess they were used to people.

    I managed to get out for an hour or so today, before work... the light was fading though as I had left it a little late to have a wander. I just went to the cemetery and fed all the birds. I took about 100 snaps... this is my fave.

    Ahhh Laura, what a beautiful image, the sunshine laying it's path along the water, the crashing of the waves against the rock... and the shore in the foreground... this is excellent my friend.
