Asus D550ma Laptop Power Failure!

My Asus Laptop suddenly crashed. It would not power back up or charge. Before the Power failure it began to run real slow. I don't think it is a battery failure. I think it's something else. Does anyone have
Any ideas to give me. Thanks for your posts.

 

Hi my friend , is the laptop dead now ?
Firstly : You have to remove the battery even ac adapter pushing the power button for a minute or so continually , after that put all back trying to boot .
Secondly : You could remove the laptop's hdd connecting to your desktop checking if works or not

 

Thanks for your post! I understand the first advice. But not sure about the 2nd advice you gave me?? My laptop is not connected to any desktop. I don't have any desktop. Maybe I miss read your 2nd advice.

 

Are you thinking it may be the hard drive of the laptop?? I guess I'll have to check all components. Thanks for your help.

first thought is hdd failure , if you haven't a desktop you could find a friend's desktop checking your hdd , watch this video

I am not sure how to connect the USB cable to the Hard Drive?? Where is the port on the hdd??
