This is a rather nightmarish story originating out of the Florida swamps. What type of jack ass would release critters like this?

Glad we do not have those critters in the rivers and canals near me.

We get the crocs, the pythons, and now also the "lion fish". The fish eats anything and everything. A recent diver's roundup snagged 700 in a 2 day period. No known predator except maybe man.

This has been an issue all around the world. People either bringing species of animals, insects or fish into places they should never be.

Hopefully, these crocodiles aren't able to breed to any extent.

As mentioned by Imandy Mann, I know that Lion Fish are a major problem. People buy them for their fish tanks and then dumped them. They are a huge huge problem in areas.

We get the freaking stink bugs that came in on crops from China, Japan and Taiwan. Nothing kills them but humans either. The are a problem for farmers...and households. :(

Our country introduced cane toads to control sugar cane beetles in 1935 now they have spread from Queensland to Victoria and with no enemies this toxic feral pest is killing large numbers of native species as well as cats and dogs.

Also when the poms colonised our country they introduced rabbits and foxes and now they are right across our country in plague proportions
Up until the 1980s, my uncle used to have a 15,000 acre property under irrigation in NSW and he had to get a team of 16 professional shooters in to reduce the number of rabbits. On the first night they killed 2,800 rabbits then on the second night they killed 2,200 rabbits and on the third night they only got 1,000 and said they would come back next year as it wasn't worthwhile staying another night. The total was 5,000 rabbits and 75 foxes for three nights work which they took away in two big trucks.

We also have feral donkeys, pigs, goats and camels although we now export some of these camels to Arabia.

We don't need to worry about these crocodiles as we already have enough of our own

Feral hogs are getting bad in a lot of Southern states. Makes me wonder why man thinks he is so much smarter than nature.

Indeed! Man certainly messes up the balance of nature. We should just leave well enough alone. Releasing alien species into ecosystems is plain stupid and can also be bloody dangerous.

Yes! Just look at what Africanized honey bees, "killer bees", have done.

Hehehe Yep they are a really good size for sure but I would be worried about their highly poisonous skin.........Hmmmmm maybe if we worked out how to skin them without releasing the poison we could farm them
Imagine being asked what you do and your answer is I run a large cane toad ranch

In all seriousness the cane toads are a major problem here because of their poison glands and because they have no natural enemies. They are killing many species of native animals as well as dogs and cats. There have been many eradication programs but so far none have worked.:(
