When you request help here you must give full details of the system.
    1. Brand name and model of the system
    2. Is it a tablet, laptop or desktop PC?
    3. What is the exact Operating System installed (Win Vista, Win 7, Win 8.1, Win10)?

You also have three other threads in the forums that you have still not answered or completed.

    @MaxTurner,

This is the same person that wants to run Android. I think it's the same computer.

I already know that, which is why I mentioned it to the OP in the final sentence.

But we cannot assume it is the same system, especially given they say in the thread about Android apps and a mini-netbook that it's their BROTHER'S system.
We have no idea which system this new thread relates to.

It is always best to wait for the OP to answer rather than assume something that might be wrong.

OK so the problem is in a Windows HP laptop.
Exactly WHAT program are you using to watch videos - Windows Media Player, VLC Media Player, Media Player Classic of any edition?
Try one of the alternatives and see if they work.
    You can find them here:

We'll probably need more detail about exactly which HP 2000 series you have, HP probably produced dozens of different ones under that name, maybe using a wide range of different hardware, see if HP's Support page and identify it for you, see the banner towards the foot of the page: http://support.hp.com/us-en/products/

So i am trying to understand that you are having an issue with play back while playing a movie or some thing on the VLC or WMP correct.

Now a question how are you playing the vide0 0ff a DVD or downloaded format.????

    There are a few possibility.

    Possibility One
There might be zero codecs on your system to play the video format.VLC does play a lot of things out of the box.But not every thing.VLC does not have some of the codecs that are needed to play a video.

Here is a link to a very good codec below.
    Combined Community Codec Pack Read
    http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/cccp_(combined_community_codec_pack).html

With this you should be able to see it play in WMP as well.Try this option first,Install the pack and don't touch nothing else in the settings.I have played every format with this codec pack and have not had a issue with it.

There will be a pop up in the Task tray by the clock that tells you some times what codec its using.

There could be other issues as well.HP can be trouble some on many levels.I all so have an HP laptop the hard drive crashed with in the first week. And i had to replace it.

But any who lets see if this works first.
