I took the photo on Thursday - with my left hand. Apart from cropping & resizing it has not been altered in any other way.
It's my right arm after an 'abandoned' attemp at doing an angiogram. Three doctors found no pulse on the right side of my groin, the left side was not any better although the surgeon did try, after which he tried my right arm.

OMG wow no pulse in groin, are you alive Eldon or a Zombie! I have seen this a few times when in work we need to perform a fluorescein angiogram for eyes that we need to get an anaesthetist to get the cannula in.

Awesome monkey pic tho better than Jesus in toast IMHO.
    Hope you OK?

    Thanks DavidGP. :)
I'm fine. I have been scheduled for a CT scan but only on 31 January 2017! The doctors are guesstimating I have a blockage somewhere.
It's a little demoralizing - I was discharged on Thursday and an hour later walked 5 kilometres.

Blockage hence the angiogram to review the dye pics, I know for us and eyes they give us huge info on pathology and flow.
Never great when you given a long leadtime to diagnosis!! and worst still you needed to walk after it, you didnt go that funky colour of yellow did you?

Wow! I would have guessed a "monkey face" too.

My husband just had heart surgery on Monday so I know the trepidation you are facing. I hope everything goes well. Though having to wait so long just increases the anxiety.

I am appalled at your having to wait more than 2 months for a CT scan. I am not a cardiovascular surgeon but to me a blockage as you describe would be near tantamount to an emergency.
Can you get a second opinion from some one else and maybe push up the schedule a bit? Some (most) tissues tend to die without adequate blood supply.

I didn't needed to walk, I just have to stay active. Don't want to turn into a beached whale.
    Welcome to South Africa...
I know doctor and that's why I'm trying to do my little bit to stay alive.
At this point in time all I know is part of my heart muscle has died...

Don't be too concerned. If you can get a Doppler check up, it will tell you if your body circulation is reasonable, or, not.(if you have not had one)
I have a completely blocked right coranory artery, (for 15 years) and it has bypassed itself using a vein from my left ventricle to my right. Nature is marvellous.
Whenever I have a blood test, they cannot get anything from my left arm, and it can get a bit like your photo, when they try. My right arm will give some, but sometimes it takes a couple of goes, and it depends on which 'Dracula' is trying. A Doppler scan showed that my overall circulation is o.k, as I have a back disc problem, that the doc's could not understand, and the Doppler scan showed that it was my back problem causing me numbness, but at the same time set my mind at ease - I have to wonder if they told you that part of your heart muscle had died, by diagnosis, or, not. England is no better for service, if I had not had insurance whilst working, I would have had to wait 6 months for an angiogram- luckily I was and I had one within 2 weeks. If they cannot get in through the groin, that seems very unusual, makes me wonder how good the doctors were, but then I am no doctor. I had a doctor once try to take blood, and he made a couple of nasty holes, before another nurse came and did it, with no problem.
I would have thought that you would have been been put on statins, or, beta blockers, , or Ramipril type artery relaxers?

Three different doctors, including the surgeon, couldn't find a pulse on the right side of my groin, and very little on the left side. In spite of this, the surgeon went ahead and tried the left side, and then the right arm. Both attemps were 'abandoned'.
I took Clopidogrel for 3 months and am currently taking Aspirin, Enalaprilmaleaat, Isosorbide-5-mononitrate & Simvastatin. And I have Isosorbide dinitrate for when I have chest pains - none before or after the heart attack.

I see - At least you must have had some good attendance, then - It must be worrying for you, and you seem to be taking everything possible to help.
Just keep battling, and with luck the CT scan will give some better news.
