I ran sfc /scannow and then followed instructions to get a sfcdetails.txt file. The pertinent section, showing the non-fixable errors are as follows:

Can anyone give me advice on how to fix these files...............or if it is necessary to do so, although I'd feel better repairing them.

I do not see a button in order to post attachments, so I am doing the best that I can to show you by attaching text. I can take and post screenshots by posting them to photobucket and sending an image link. If there is a better way to do so, please advise.

Also, if you reference the following thread, you'll see more details of the problem(s) I'm having:

Icons Slow Loading In Folders And Desktop

    Thank you.

You need to go back to the original thread: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/index....g-in-folders-and-desktop.314856/#post-1981601
These details above are sfc /scannow details not chkdsk.
    They are two different things.
Read the other responses people have posted about the original issue and read the sfc /scannow Microsoft guide for how to repair corruptions sfc cant fix.

To upload a file then, just below any post, when posting, you will see 'other options' and when clicked 'upload a file' appears. That is how you attach any type of file

"Upload a file" doesn't appear. Where should it be?

The example given in the guide isn't like mine. That's why I asked.

OK. That explains the blank button there.
